Crusader Arms Templar quality control issues and response

The anodizing looks great! I love how the rifle feels and looks. My cotter pin is intact and I got a magpul MOE-k grip :) I notice all the blemishes mentioned already on mine, kinda bs for the cost, but whatever.... My receiver's not tight like some, but my pins certainly are.

What really gets me is; The ACR stock is 100% an airsoft clone, not even as good as tapco they at least work for 3 months. I know Steve isn't on here much, and I don't have insta, so I'll be emailing crusader about a refund for the, broken from factory, ACR stock and getting an AR replacement if they don't have magpul ones.

Overall review; I like it, but this rifle should be $1000 cheaper.

This is the manufacturer of the stock

They tell me they are made in the USA. We tried to use magpul but they’re not available anymore.

In the reddit thread I posted in the edit, the guy from f5 claims they were made near CZ (whatever that means....) They lied about US manufacture, so possibly a lie again.

If you saw my comment on the charging handle before, I realized I was retarded and swapped it to the right side, it's perfect.

I’ll look into the place they are made. Maybe I misunderstood. We still don’t have any other options right now. Unless Magpul starts making them again. Everyone please keep in mind I am offering a lifetime warranty on this product so that if you have issues with it you don’t need to come here and complain all you have to do is reach out to me.

Inability to secure enough parts to be able to complete your production quota is not smart for lack of better words, a contract with the parts providers should be made prior to the production to ensure completion of the product run.

Looking at user forwardsh's pictures posted in Post#27 https://imgur.com/a/h2TN3uU You honestly think he doesn't have the right to complain in public when you sent them that?

$2249 and the factory can't clean up the butchers work done by your worn out milling machines, that is a huge shocker.

You may as well include a picture of yourself giving the middle finger to the camera given your statement and what people have received product wise.

The obvious shills as hilarious as well, this is NEA 3.0 in a nutshell.

Just got my templar in the mail after a long wait with awful communication the entire time. Check out the link to see what I was sent.

-cotter pin was broken and flared to stay in place
-huge shavings on end of firing pin
-lower looks like it was finished with a steel wire brush (not a big deal for me)
-firing pin spring was hand cut and finished quite poorly
-BHO looks like it was finished with a hand file
-all over the rifle there are dings in the finish from assembly

I haven't finished tearing it down yet but I am not pleased one god damned bit. The thing arrived broken and in this bad of a state.

After paying $2000 and seeing ANOTHER person having internal problems. Not good. I didn't even look on the inside of mine. I'll probably have to send it back when it comes in. Thanks for sharing and hope it gets fixed up

Ya but I better be the one doing the scratching lol. Haven't got a chance yet. Sent it back for warranty and tracking says they received it on Friday October 7th.

Fsssst, yes scratches can be annoying but the rifle will have many once it is used so don’t panic. Does it function well?

I don't care about scratches, but I better be the one making them. Not on a $2000 rifle brand new from the factory

Imagine my shock when another heavy, junky canadian made ar180 cope isn't good to go from the factory. Should have spent more money on r&d instead of suits of armour for taccom lol.

disappointed… hopefully they sort this out. or maybe i’ll save an extra grand and get a bren… such a beauty! templar is nice but, i’m a bit concerned now.

It's beginning to sound as though the SAI R18 will remain the top dog of the AR-180 designs for the time being. Although I refuse to be a "Beta Tester" for BCL, I must admit that I am intrigued by the idea of their Skunkbear. I believe that I heard it referred to as "an enconomy version of the SIG MCX", with presumably sufficient design differences so as to avoid patent infringement. Can anyone with time handling the BCL product confirm or deny this?

Otherwise, I suppose time will tell in the quest for the ultimate AR-180 derivative. It annoys me that I can't simply use my genuine article. It is SOOO much more dangerous than the current iterations.... (sarcasm off)

I was curious as to how long it would take before you broke out the R18 drum

Steve could you please explain Crusader's relationship with Spectre Ltd and Wolverine Supplies.

To me it comes across that Wolverine owned the MCR design, Spectre made it for Wolverine who then sold the rights to it, then suddenly crusader appears and what looks like variations of the MCR design start being made.

I've no issue with any of that but the history of the company is very much an unknown to me (and perhaps others).

In the TFB video that was released the other day the Crusader arms employee claimed that Crusader Arms put in steel inserts but that is exactly what Wolverine supplies did with the MCR design.

I just call'em like I see 'em. I have also posted elsewhere that I think the Bren 2 Is superior to all of the AR-180 clones out there. So what? We compare different guns all the time on CGN. That's a big part of what many of us do. Compare and contrast differing designs.

By all means, please show us a superior domestically-manufactured AR180-derived rifle to the R18, both in design and execution, currently available on the Canadian market. I'll wait.....

He seemed very eager to post the poor feedback on multiple threads.

I posted a link to relevant first-hand update on a new rifle that has evident CGN Interest. That's it. I'm not the one saying negative things about the Templar, so don't ascribe underhanded motivations on my part where there were none, thank-you very much. Seeing as how we do not know one another that's pretty bold (and underhanded) of you. So instead of concerning yourself with my motivations, how about you mind your own fvcking business? That way we can all continue to coexist nicely.....
