YEAH BABY! IM SO EXCITED
What's different about these calls than any other production calls? They don't look handmade to me but more mold injected plastic. I thought the thread was about custom made calls?

The one on the far right is hand turned wood. It is his "swift" call. It has a 220 swift casing inside of it to give it a unique sound.
The other ones are made from a composite material that he casts blanks for then hand turns them.
The difference between these and production calls are the great sound that they produce and the sheer ease of blowing them.
I had them shipped to the office and I've already annoyed all of our staff blowing these in my office and in the shop![]()
They look like hand spun and polished acrylic.... much more dense than plastic so will be able to get a deeper tone and less "crackling"..... are they heavier than usual plastic calls?... looks like you guys got a great deal at that price... I want to order a howler now....
They are quite a bit heavier than the plastic calls I have held in the past but I don't have one to compare it to. The wood one is quite heavy. Heavier than my big goose call and 1/3 the size.
EwwwWww. Border spit all over your new calls. Gross.
Hang in there.
Mine came in a plastic bag with each call in a separate compartment.......no spit on mine. LOL
How do you find the open reed design?.... I have never owned an open reed call.....

For what they got for the coin they put out... they should be pointing and laughing at anyone who is interested in owning hand made calls and hasn't invested... you know, guys like me....lol
Then what are you waiting for?! You won't be disappointed.
Closed reeds can freeze. Open reeds generally dont freeze, but they can get clogged with spit, give it a good shake and its good to go again.
Going to go out Boxing Day and give these a try.
Don't have much faith in getting anything for my first time out but it can't hurt to try.
