Custom coyote calls

YEAH BABY! IM SO EXCITED

What's different about these calls than any other production calls? They don't look handmade to me but more mold injected plastic. I thought the thread was about custom made calls?

The one on the far right is hand turned wood. It is his "swift" call. It has a 220 swift casing inside of it to give it a unique sound.

The other ones are made from a composite material that he casts blanks for then hand turns them.

The difference between these and production calls are the great sound that they produce and the sheer ease of blowing them.

I had them shipped to the office and I've already annoyed all of our staff blowing these in my office and in the shop :D

They look like hand spun and polished acrylic.... much more dense than plastic so will be able to get a deeper tone and less "crackling"..... are they heavier than usual plastic calls?... looks like you guys got a great deal at that price... I want to order a howler now....

They are quite a bit heavier than the plastic calls I have held in the past but I don't have one to compare it to. The wood one is quite heavy. Heavier than my big goose call and 1/3 the size.

EwwwWww. Border spit all over your new calls. Gross.

Hang in there.

Mine came in a plastic bag with each call in a separate compartment.......no spit on mine. LOL

I have had some questionable dealings with the border... if all you get on them is spit you are lucky...lol... picturing someone running around making yote howls without using his mouth

I have a cheap knight and hale hare distress I use in conjunction with my e-call.... next time we hook up we should take a side by side pic.... what you guys ordered is far superior.....

The swift sounds simply outstanding. I'm almost regretting only ordering the 6 calls and not one of each of the others. Maybe in the new year, I need to kill some dogs first. Lol

For what they got for the coin they put out... they should be pointing and laughing at anyone who is interested in owning hand made calls and hasn't invested... you know, guys like me....lol

From my understanding they do not and if they did you would just have to put the whole reed end in your mouth to defrost it.

I believe the closed reed freeze as they are a metal reed.

Then what are you waiting for?! You won't be disappointed.

2 kids + 1 holiday season equals zero new hand calls for brad... :( .... Donations?... Lol.. I have a cheap hand call as well as an ecaller... I. Just want these as they look damned cool... And a mix of hand calls is a great way to change up your sets now and again...

Going to go out Boxing Day and give these a try.

Don't have much faith in getting anything for my first time out but it can't hurt to try.

Closed reeds can freeze. Open reeds generally dont freeze, but they can get clogged with spit, give it a good shake and its good to go again.

I blew on the larger closed reed this morning for 30 minutes probably and it never froze up. It was -15/-22 with windchill, I did notice it loose a bit of raspyness

Have faith my friend, I made one stand this morning, first of the year. Used the large closed reed and the smallest howler. Did jack rabbit distress for about 30 minutes off and on then threw in a couple kiyi's and had a hard charger come in to 30 yards, too bad I didn't make a good shot as he ran by at warp speed.
