You would be allowed to carry a personal firearm on duty? Or did you just want a chance to mention the MP5 in an unrelated thread? For me, it would be a fun plinking gun out at the farm (in non-restricted form).
It would be good in the car, but we're putting a lot of the MP-5's back into use, so no worries there.
For general patrol use though, we should try and get with the times and have a proper patrol carbine package with C8's like a lot of our municipal and provincial counterparts.
I see your point. I should devote more time to reading and less to replying. My apologies for the snarky remark. It was a reply to Canuck44 about the Cx4 as a patrol rifle.
No, you are not normally allowed to carry personal firearms on duty, that's not at all what I meant, but funny how you immediately assumed that
.
I agreed that it would be good, but there was no need since we are using more MP-5's again.
Why didn't you quote luke s and ask him about mentioning the hi-point carbine in an 'unrelated thread'?
Don't bother answering, I know the answer.![]()
Except this thread isn't about pistol carbines it is about one particular carbine. Why not start a thread to compare the two.lol its related as in its also a handgun caliber carbine.... so yah.... lol
Have had three CX4's (1x9mm and 2x40S&W's)... I only wish they made a 10mm Auto version![]()
Several people have cut off the rear ears to solve the scope issue.
i'm thinking of picking one up...either new or used. suggestions? or should i just get a pistol. oh, i'm only getting the 9mm version, if i do.
from what i've seen, and shot before, i like it.
"Why can't you leave it cocked and locked? Those are two of the improvements that could be made to the Storm. There are several others as well. Fix the mushy trigger, fix the plastic guide rod, can't be left cocked and lock nor dry fired as recommended by Beretta are some places to start too. A serious patrol rifle it is not as suggested.
Greg
B o B,
You recommended it as a patrol rifle stating it would be an excellent choice. Beretta does not recommend leaving it cocked as it weakens the springs.
