CZ Bren 2 MS NON-Restricted MAJOR UPDATE Post 587

Anyone know the original barrel thread pitch? Also how hard would it be to convert back to 11inch in case laws change and this becomes restricted down the road? Would rather have it in original config if they become safe toys.

Was told specifically not to use Norinco ammo and steel case. Mine shot and cycle fine with 55gr Remington and Federal.

I assume you currently have a NR version and as such is pretty much off the radar?

If there is one thing that has been proven beyond doubt it is that registration leads to confiscation.

What you choose to do is up to you.

It will go straight to prohib. No way they wld just change it to restricted.

To answer your question, to swap it back to 11 inch configuration is very easy if you have the gas system installed on the barrel, it’s a matter of just some Torx screws and removing the fore-end no special tools required at all. Now this is only if you have a barrel ready to go with the gas system and trunion installed, if you do not have these extra parts you would need to swap them from your NR barrel and I believe also the hole for the gas would need to also be altered.

I have a non restricted model and ended up finding someone selling a complete 11 inch barrel with complete gas system and trunion / flash suppressor it’s literally just a few Torx screws for me to swap should I choose to do so for whatever reason, but at the moment I keep it in its non restricted form.

Keep in mind the “legal” aspects of doing so

Thank you for the in depth info. I wonder if Marstar or Dlask have any extra gas blocks and trunnions on order? Would be great to have this as an option to keep the other barrel viable
 
What are people getting for accuracy with the Dlask barrels? Debating a Raven 556 vs Bren 2 vs APC223. $1000 increments between all 3 but seemingly big performance and reliability advantages also.

Apologies if this has been asked already working remotely with not a lot of time or service.
