... and an "adverse" settings (guessing it ramps up the gas to overcome the gun being dirty / underpowered ammo etc). The manual explains not to run adverse setting if it is not required as it puts extra strain on the internals (cycles more violently etc I would imagine), no doubt the recoil increases as a result too.
