Follow your link to the store, it looks like you probably got the right guide rod, but they are selling the slide stops as being for both the Shadow and the Shadow 2 and they are not the same part that is slightly concerning.
Is this the guide rod? If so what's the difference between it and the one that comes with the shadow 2?
Ok the best answer to this situation is to wait until my package arrives. I'll then do a comparison and let everyone know the results.

ok no problem but is that the one you ordered cause it looks like the exact same as the one that comes with the gun.

yes, as I said in my post above, it looks like they are selling the right guide rod, but not the right slide stop. They have the Shadow slide stop listed as being for both the Shadow and the Shadow 2, they are not the same part and the Shadow one will not work in the 2
Slavex, I check my Shadow 2's slide stop and I'm pretty sure that it is exactly the same one pictured at the IPSC store. The Shadow 2 is shipped with 2 slides stops, the low profile one as depicted on the IPSC store which is already installed as well as a larger slide stop with a big thumb rest on it. Why CZ did this, I have no idea.
Mine only came w/ the installed slide stop. It did however come w/ 2 safeties. Low profile installed and larger spare thumb rest safety. Sounds like you're confusing the safety and slide stop kidcom.
Reason for the 2 safeties are most production shooters prefer the low profile safety as it doesn't get in the way. Others like the larger safety to rest their thumbs on it or for ease of use. On a couple occasions larger safety on my Shadow was accidentally engaged during a match COF which cost me time to disengage. Low profile safety on the Shadow 2 is unlikely to be mistakenly engaged.
The shadow 2 is a different gun than the Shadow in that the shadow 2 is .096" thicker than the shadow. This means that slide stop pins and safeties are not interchangeable. The barrel and slide is also longer. The guiderod of the shadow 2 is .168" longer than the shadow and they are NOT interchangeable. It must also be noted that if you are using springs designed for the original shadow that they will be lighter if used in the shadow. If you are using an 11 lb spring designed for the shadow, it will be more like a 10 lb spring as there is a longer length. It is sort of like taking a coil or two off the 11 lb spring to make it lighter. This may cause feeding issues (depending on load) with an already light spring
Really, you must have the most amazing Glock ever. Why don't you tell us about it, in your own friggin thread...
As for the guide rod, I'll have to check, but I think the 2's rod is slightly longer, but I could be wrong. I'd have just polished it.
I have read that the recoil spring is a 13 lbs but it's a SOB to open that slide for me. I have also read the recoil spring is 17 lbs. I think it's just a whole bunch of people assuming stuff going on for a gun that they haven't touched yet.
There is no way that the 2 has a 13 lb spring. I tested my IPSC loads and the 2 barely ejects them compared to the old Shadow. It's at least a 15 if not a 17. I couldn't find anything anywhere confirming exactly what it was. On a side note, those same loads were going 15-20 fps faster from the 2 then they were from the old gun.
