OK Rob point taken. Do you expect to sell 1,000 Shadow2's in Canada? Probably not. I am not sure what definition you want to use for small niche market but te gun sells into a small group of IPSC shooters who feel they must have or can benefit from this gun. I suspect most will stick with their present Tans, other iterations of the CZ 75 line up including the present Shadow, Shadowline and Canadian Editions all of which have been, up to now, the CZ's to use in IPSC Production.
I only mentioned IDPA to let a wider audience of cross over shooters Gun Nutz attracks that the gun weighs to much for IDPA. Frankly, the weight and size issue took me by surprise although it should have dawned on me given the longer barrel and obviously the need for a longer dust cover would add weight.
You should be aware that I was one of the few who successfully championed internally for the weight requirements to be raised to allow the Shadow and CZ 97 to play n our sport. The weight limit for the three main pistol divisions is now set at 43 oz. and the dust cover rule was amended allowing both to play.
As you correctly point out CZ does make a number of excellent pistols suitable for IDPA. The Shadow2 is just not one of them.
Take Care

Saw a Tanfoglio bb pistol today all steel feels very real in your hand & the slide cycles when fired. Just wondered if anyone has fired one & if it actually feels like recoil? At $89 was thinking it would be very cheap practice.
