I am used to them and really enjoy them. The set trigger on this one is not as light as on my Brno 21 or Brno Effect! It's about the same as my CZ557 Lux 2.

I really like mine as well. I have a Varmint in .223 and a carbine in 7.62x39.

Yes, in time. As with all my factory oiled sticks, I will be "nourishing" this stock and the stock on my 557 Lux 2 with Schaftol gunstock oil. At that time, both will get glass bedding (professionally done).

I just got the synthetic stocked 7.62x39 CZ527 carbine a few weeks ago...very happy with the gun and accuracy with surplus ammo is better than I hoped for.

Put a VX freedom 1.5-4x20 on it, loving it

Check the tightness of the rear leaf sight from time to time. (side screws) mine fell off having never adjusted it.

The gap in the new trigger guard is bugging the hell out of me from an aesthetic perspective.

In this round I liked the fixed sights just fine, work very well with any load I’ve tried milsurp, steel and brass case. Replaced with a skinner peep and I’m just as comfortable with it out to 150 as a scopes gun in good light

I might not scope it. It's pretty handy and light and the sights are similar to my Lux 2--fast target acquisition.

The gap in the new trigger guard is bugging the hell out of me from an aesthetic perspective.

I understand that is to make it easier to use with gloves during winter.

My 2020 production 7.62x39 does. Do you know when yours was built? The year is stamped on the right side of the receiver.

I was thinking of an Elite 3500 2-7x32 with Warnes QD medium rings.

I had both versions, no issue. It's the last thing you will notice when you buy one.

Just took a walk through the corn stubble, got a few shots off... NICE!! Shot the Barnaul and Hornady point-of-aim. The sights are great! I will definitely give this lovely walnut stock a coat of Schaftol oil to protect it better. Bluing is nice and deep. Just an attractive rifle. Keeper.

Schaftol has silicone in it. I wouldn't risk it.
