The flash in the picture above
makes it look light grey. In actuality it is this colour

Here are some more shots:

Here is the actual colour again. Note the spring has slipped off the end of the guide rod:

so where can you get a spare parts kit? not springs and pins, but the inside parts? do you have to get each piece on its own?
I'm not sure what you are asking, but this kit is sold by Dlask Arms. A google search will bring them up. The kit is a copy of the SIG 228 and the word is that SIG parts will fit. I do not know of this first hand mind you. I'm sure that Dlask Arms will sell spare parts as well.

So my DA has stopped working (it worked for awhile) and I don't believe that there is much more I can do and not cause problems which would be hard to undo. I will be completley happy with SA only. My first pistol shooting ( military many moons ago) was Browning Hi-Power SA which is what I prefer. As I understand it DA is only required if this was going to be a service pistol - as if. SA it is. Now I have to get to the range and see how she goes. I post in DAC 394 Range report after I put some things that go fast out of the hole in the end and pierce some pieces of paper a goodly distance yonder.

Dude !!! thats got to be some sort of record for start to finish time ! :D Looks good too, nice job on the Park !! Did you end up pre-seasoning your brew with steel wool this time ?? I'm curious how much of a difference it made ....

What is happening with your DA ?? letting off too early ? not at all ?? Lets see if we can figure it out !!

Great job effects. It just goes to show what a little time, effort and patience can do. I applaud your perseverance and excellent work. Now to get the DA to work.:)

Wow!!! Nice Parkerizing job Effects!!!! I don't have the facilities to do such things, so I'll probably just paint this one like Novega did.

Anybody know if they're still in stock? Sounds like some folks are doing a second one. I'd love to get the kit and do another one down the road when I have time and tools to do it right.

Thanks. I did not use the steel wool biscuit for the park job. I was fairly concerned because I do not have a sight pusher and during cleaning I kept getting minute amounts of oil from under the front sight. It took a long time to get all the oil. It is interesting that the sights are black. I sandblasted everything with 80 grat aluminum oxide abrasive, and the slide came out grey but the sights are black. I am really happy with the park job.
I am glad that I had not lapped th heck out of my frame / slide since (even though I was careful) sandblasting loosened things up. She's tight though when all together.

My lack of DA is that the trigger bar slips out of the DA notch in the hammer too soon. I believe it is a combination of bar deflection and that the trigger bar blade is not "tall" enough. It has now started to wear away some material on the hammer. I wish (well not that much because I'm not jonesing to have DA) I had a spare trigger bar and to be able to start again know what I how know. LOL.

Have to see if I can get to the range and see if there is any hand gunning today!

I dare not call Dlask and inquire. My wife has been very tolerant, but she can be like a tornado - you never know when and where it might "touch down". LOL

I have a fantasy that there will be a CGN'r out there - you know the guys that have $6000 Italian shotguns sitting in the safe - that bought one of these kits and and has decided that the weather is so grand that he would rather be spending time at the "club" playing a round or two than assembling a pistol. He will see my build and in charity, will sell his kit to me for a stipend and an honourable mention. LOL :bsFlag:

Have you whittled your trigger bar too much ?? maybe give Dlask a call, from previous posts, it sounds like they have some spare parts.

Have you tried removing a little material off of the trigger bar ramp to allow the 'hook' to get a little deeper into the hammer notch ??

Well.... It shoots!
I on the other hand do not!

Here are my first 5 rounds at 20 or 25 yds. I'm uncertain as to the distance. What ever Langley Rod and Gun Club is?

I had four failures to eject the spent casing out of the ten rounds I shot this morning. I got my first failure on round 5. I mean total failures. Ammunition is factory Remington 9mm Luger 115 GR. MC L9MM3. The casing was left completely IN the barrel. Cycling did not clear the casing at all. However, when the pistol did function correctly, the ejection was good and strong. I will strip down the breech block and see if there is any problem with the ejector hook. Anyone have any suggestions?

Here it is here:

You can see where I have filed to let the slope fall off trying to keep the blade of the trigger bar engaged into the hammer longer.

The slope on my trigger bar definitely doesn't look like that, if I could fin my camera I'd take a pic and we could compare.

I have been shamed (curse you guys all to hell!) into trying further to obtain DA. I tweaked the trigger bar blade that inserts into the notch in the trigger and I have DA now. Well almost (it works fine if I pull the trigger fast). I found the ejector block/clip/spring on the breech block to be slightly seperated from the breech block. I re-seated it and I will shoot tonight and see if this was my problem with failure to eject.
