Go back and read redman, you made an ass out of yourself, and the comments are actually about 50/50 for/against. Bottom line: you took a facetious piece of nothing and quoted and attacked it, but had you read a few posts more, you would have seen that you just took the cheapest bate, off of the dullest hook. LOL.

I googled the feral pig problem in Texas and found this knowledgeable piece of info all about them. I myself didnt realize that "boss hog" is such a HUGE problem in Texas until after reading this.

???

I've made a total of 7 replies to this thread (not counting this one), and the only thing that you posted that I could ID as the "facetious piece of nothing" is the "banging your head against the rock" post. My reply/quote to it was just me being facetious back... I didn't mean to attack you - I thought you would have picked up the tongue-in-cheek tone of it. You didn't have to take it so personally.

I actually came down on that post where someone mocks you/your country after you misspelled "coup de grâce"... Unfortunately, it seems that you took that rotten bait hook, line and sinker when you told Canadians to "get off your hemisphere". Anyway, enough of this personal BS; you want to hold a discussion like that, there are plenty of venues for you to do so that, thankfully, don't require my involvement.

Back on topic: I think you're off on that 50/50 assessment; it's more like 60/40 against, at best. Any takers on actually coming up with a precise tally?

I just watched another video on youtube, 454 Casull vs 750 lb hog - it took like six shots as well, multiples in the head/neck, took longer to go down than this hog. Obviously these things are super tough.

I rewatched the video with a couple of other hunters, and after seeing so many objections to the guys in the videos (mine as well). On a re-watch, it seems the animal maybe takes 45 seconds from first hit to death, which is not actually that long, and was pointed out to me by the other guys. In real life game does not always die within 45 seconds of being hit.

I think most people's gut reactions, like mine, was to the "hunters" trash talking and celebrating, instead of stepping up and finishing the animal as quickly as humanly possible.

Wasn't a bad video to post, really, it's just another example of guys trash talking that ruins things, overall. If it had been a video of someone shooting the boar with a rifle from 100 yards and sitting back quietly (and respectfully...) for 45 seconds until it expired, nobody would have complained, and all the comments would have been about the huge boar.

Great, man, keep up personal attacks! And validate this: I'm not the one posting a lame video of a hunting trip gone bad, asking for people's opinions and then whining when they don't agree with mine.

By the way, this is where you post yet another brilliant retort that I now choose not to waste my time replying to since this thread has officially earned its two-star rating, thanks to you.

You'll probably feel like a winner, too; enjoy! :)

Here is some deer hunting with a bow:

The deer is shot at 27 seconds, and is still well alive at a minute.

Heres a bear getting shot, who knows how long it takes that bear in the back to die. I know it is standing on the top of the hill when they shoot the second one.
Its played to magestic music, so its more like a movie, this one won't be very emotionally disturbing.

Agreed.

Pigs are tough. The guy is obviously a #### head but I don't think the pig really cares if the shooter celebrates or quietly and respectfully reflects.....

Obviously ALOT of gun owners/nutz here do not hunt. I had no idea there were so many liberal PETA gun owners who would rear their ugly heads.

Great post Corpus.... You brought out the views of a bunch of sissy paper punchers and tofu hunters who have shown how deeply rooted the liberal manta is in our society, even among gun owners.... and unfortunatly will never go away.... guns are a tool to "kill" first and foremost.... deal with it

There was nothing wrong with that hunt! Those guys were so genuine with there excitment...."gaaaaaawwwwwwly!!!" It did put a smile on my face, thats what hunting is all about.....FUN!!! That was so ethical it get gave me a moral adjustment. How can anybody find fault with this? My gawd, its the same attitude that only"my way is right and ethical" among hunters and gun owners, that the red feds shove down our throats

Nobody has to hunt for food... even up north.... we choose to because of the RUSH.... and there is every time, that excitement of KILLING.....

Get over yourselves you PINKOs who act like you came off the I.R. praying to the great spirit showing "respect for your prey" I bet you pow wow after every kill too... shut up you libs....

Go kill something, gut it, skin it, eat it, then talk about this vid......

I just went out and killed a crow for no good reason...... i'll throw it on utube and watch you pansies cry...... phone the spca while your at it

Random acts like this, just to piss people off, are pathetic. Usually performed by pathetic people who have no power or influence in their own lives.

Wow, lots of idiot hunters out there trying to cover there ass with the Peta bashing. Seems to me no one is saying that hunting is wrong, just that these hunters are stupid. Why cant you argue the point thats being made instead of arguing one that isn't? Wait, its cause you have no real argument.

Aren't you the guy who kills animals in a laboratory all day long, and can't see how killing lots of animals who never see the light of day doesn't compare with hunting a wild animal? Then you start talking about the "sickness" of killing when it's what you do for a living everyday of your life? Look Dr. Lector, I'd like you to wait in this room. There is a jacket in the corner if you get cold. It buttons up the back. Don't feel like you can't ask for help putting it on. Thanks.

P.S. I'm glad he killed that cow for no reason. I just shot a majestic Eagle for solidarity's sake. Rock it!

Funny guy..... I used to hunt back in the days and I did enjoy it but I sure in the hell dont remember whooping it up with my buddies about how cool it was to kill it. Yes, the adrenaline rush was there but it wasnt the "thrill of the kill". It was the events that led up to said kill that I always went for. Once the trigger is pulled, it goes from being "fun" to "ugh, now i gotta gut it, skin it and process it accordingly"
I quit hunting because of the processing part of it. I got lazy and I admit to that.

You're clearly not understanding any of my posts. I've never said I don't condone hunting. In fact I said I enjoy hunting. I am a hunter.

The animals I've killed the lab were killed for a purpose. They were used in the name of science. Hunting also serves a purpose. For some it's sport, for others it's food. My latest post was referring to killing a crow for no good reason. It was not for sport or for food. It was to piss people off. That is pathetic.

Corpus, since you don't seem to have understood any of my last posts. I suspect you won't understand this one either. Feel free to reply with another rambling and incomprehensible post. In my books you're just trolling and wasting all our time.

I watched this video 3 times and still couldn't find the humour in it. I personally would have finished it off a bit quicker than the shooter. I enjoy hunting but I don't laugh my butt off when I kill an animal.

I'm Canadian and I call Canada communist. Am I now ignorant and annoying? :p

Well it would certainly suggest you aren't a political science major. Don't know about the annoying part, you tell me?

I didn't think the video was all that bad to be honest. I have seen plenty worse that's for sure and the animal died fairly quickly, at least compared to a lot of US hog hunts. It sure as hell wasn't a display of ideal marksmanship and hunting skill, or comedy for that matter, but whatever floats yer boat I s'pose.

My post was just a sarcastic jibe at the angry American telling everyone on a Canadian gun site to get out of "his hemisphere" and calling them a bunch of Comminists. Nothing more. I guess if he can't take it, he shouldn't dish it out.

I guess the thing that cracks me up is that the guy posts it on here, asking whether everyone sees the "humor" in it (I still dont see the humour in it to be honest) but then when he gets some negative responses, totally loses his cool and starts abusing Canadians, Canadian hunting and generally anyone who doesn't agree with him.

On a side note. I had feral hog meat once when I was staying with family down in Texas. It was a big dissapointment to be honest. Mind you there are certainly no shortage of hogs to kill.

This is MY thread doof! I can do what I waaaaawnt!

Seriously, manufactured condescension won't rub off the stink of insanity that oozes from you. Just put the ego down, and go take a long look in the mirror. Then stop killing animals by day for a living, and hunting animals by night for fun, and then telling all of us not to kill. You're a slap-happy-jappy-pappy del classico sociopath with a anger management flow control operated by a beaver. The animals didn't do anything to you. Stop killing them 24/7! And quit telling me that I can't kill one occasionally. I think your real motivation is that you're afraid to share. You're a sick man.
