I asked in the shooting centres "sig day" thread and was given somewhat of an answer.

Buy them all as they become available or as soon as they start popping up on the EE, then sell whichever you like less. That's kinda how I do it, that way you get to play with most of what is available to us and decide first hand which ones you like. Certain rifles get passed by if I get a chance to play with someone else's or if they don't really do it for me but the ones that I like the idea of or think I'll like I buy then decide if I'm going to keep it. You don't really lose much money since you can ask pretty much new price for the latest fancy toy everyone thinks they want. I pretty much broke even on my Tavor, last Sl8, RFB, and Swiss Arms.
The Tavor never did it for me but I bought one anyway just to give it a fair chance then traded it off for something more my style.
I definitely want an MDR but am also thinking about a MV and/or the B&T APC. Finding the right deal will determine which one or ones pass through my collection. I'll have to sell a couple others first though, stupid home renovations have drained my toy fund

Still not even shipping in the US, pushed back again til Feb 2017, which also is not a concrete date. Likely with be pushed back again.
No production guns at this point, only a few working prototypes.
Gun is not finished enough to have even been submitted for an FRT, so we might be waiting a long while for these.

that is contrary to what was said to have happened with the NR length working prototype after last years shot show. DTA flew up and delivered it directly to the RCMP for review right after according to those awaiting to import it
In my experience with the Canadian DT distributor tons of talk zero action. I'm still waiting on replacement magazines for my DT since meaford. Had nothing but problems ie double feeding and FTF. He said next week first week of September.... I've lost all faith in DT.
Desert tech currently has has multiple canadian importers and retailers. I do a lot of business with the one that gave me that information and they have yet to lie to me in many years of doing business with them.
No idea who you are dealing with, but Reliable gun is a Desert tech importer and I see you are in vancouver
And they all get it from outdoor escape. I've talked to reliable about DT and they said the same name of the guy from outdoor escapes that I've met in person.
I can tell you this, It has been a much shorter wait from DT/reliable than anything I order through them from steyr, tikka, sauer, etc (average of 2 years wait in my experience).
Canada is last on everyones priority list unfortunately
