Big fan of the A-bolt hinged floor plate with detachable mag, you want to toss it in the truck, open the floorplate and it swings the mag out, but doesnt take any effort to swing it back in the rifle when you get out.

That is considered a loaded firearm in the vehicle. The magazine cannot be attached to the firearm in anyway while holding ammunition according to Alberta Hunting Regs. Just a heads up;)

Swung out with ammo in it does not constitute an unloaded rifle in B.C.

Check your regulations in Alberta...

As far as ease of unloading, push button, clip falls out.Feeding stoppage, pop out clip.Much the same as floorplate, only shells are contained instead of coming out random.Does not get any easier, than a clip!

I ensure my rifles feed/extract perfectly using dummy rounds er...should I say Russel Rounds, and modifying my magazine systems.

It makes very little difference to me.
A magazine is simply more convienient. "as long as you dont forget it!" been there, done that! Lol!

A floor plate is just fine. I dont know why so many people dont have the basic coordination to unload this feature! Come on guys! Just pay attention to what your doing.
I have lots of these rifles and seldom drop a round.

Tubular magazines (levers) are what they are.
If you choose to cycle the rounds through the action to unload, do so carefully and with undevided attention.
I simply unload my levers by pressing the loading gate down to release each round. Simple, and safe.

The poll choices are about as stupid as they could be.

No kidding. the OP clearly does not like them and set up the poll options to either represent his opinion or the complete polar opposite. Although I do prefer a DM, I also have a rifle with an internal mag that I get along just fine with, usually.

Your reading comprehension broken? What is the title of thread? Options are: Adore, like, indifferent, or hate. Having a hard time with that?

can you show me the rule?

From the Alberta Hunting Regs, and as you described its is attached. Precedence has also been set in this case and is now case law.

have a loaded firearm (live ammunition in breech, chamber or magazine) in or on, or discharge a weapon from

a boat unless the boat is propelled by muscular power or is at anchor and the person is hunting, or
any kind of aircraft or vehicle whether it is moving or stationary.
Note: Ammunition may be carried in a magazine that is not attached to the firearm. Click here for contact information regarding federal firearms legislation.

It also happens to be a Criminal Code Offense to have a firearm in a vehicle that has ammunition in a magazine attached to the to firearm. It has to be mechanically attached under that definition as well. You can Google that one yourself.
