Did I wreck my volquartsen barrel

I recently bought a new volquartsen barrel for my 10/22. I was cleaning it , got distracted and accidentally ran an 45acp bore snake through it..

Im worried I damaged my new barrel.

Everything looks ok but im just not sure.

Thanks for any input.

The math is simple, I dont understand how someone could pull something that's 11.43mm minimum through a hole that is 5.6mm. The brush portion should be strong enough to make that a bit of a feat.

I always use an oversize bore snake. Works well. I take my 22 out to the shop and put it in the vice. I then thread the skinny part of the snake through the barrel. I then back my tractor up to the loose end and hook to the draw bar. Lock in the front wheel assist and just pull it through slowly. Usually only 1 pass is required.

Bore snakes are a joke. Throw that garbage out and get proper cleaning equipment including a good coated road and a a rod guide.

I think the OP is confusing a .45-cal boresnake and a 4.5mm (.177cal) airgun boresnake...
