Well if you did managed to get a .45 cal snake through a .22 bore all I can say is the bore must be cleaner than clean now.I don't know how it didn't snap. I was able to pull it through.

No confusion. It was definitely a 45acp bore snakeI think the OP is confusing a .45-cal boresnake and a 4.5mm (.177cal) airgun boresnake...
Dang decimal places...and metric vs. imperial systems...my head hurts now...
Thats not what she told meLike I told my wife when we were dating - it never looks like it’ll fit… but it’ll fit.
I honestly don't know how...my .22 bore snake is a b.i.t.c.h to get through my 10/22 barrel sometimes, and if you've ever had a patch that's slightly too big it's a complete PITA to get through. Don't see how a 45 bore snake could even begin to fit.I was able to pull it through.
Bore snakes are a joke. Throw that garbage out and get proper cleaning equipment including a good coated road and a a rod guide.yet they do a good enough job for the average Joe.
You mean .45 cal?No confusion. It was definitely a 45acp bore snake
Ok, so after all of the good natured kibitzing, have you had time to go out and shoot said barrel? No confusion. It was definitely a 45acp bore snake
I haven't had a chance yet, possibly next week. I'm quite interested myselfOk, so after all of the good natured kibitzing, have you had time to go out and shoot said barrel?
How does it perform and how tight are the groups.
I'm sure ...well pretty sure there are many who have made a few jokes want to know the results .
Regards,
Rob
If it doesn’t shoot well you can always disassemble the rifle and run the parts through the dishwasher.I haven't had a chance yet, possibly next week. I'm quite interested myself
How do you ? Get so distracted from cleaning a rifle to pull a snake brush thru twice the diameter of the bore is really is the question hereI recently bought a new volquartsen barrel for my 10/22. I was cleaning it , got distracted and accidentally ran an 45acp bore snake through it..
Im worried I damaged my new barrel.
Everything looks ok but im just not sure.
Thanks for any input.
