Dieamaco stripped lowers

I have to agree about that NEA statement, although I don't see anything wrong with building whatever you want with it, bottom line is it is just a stripped lower with a neat Canadian rollmark. The way I see it that was the ticket for anyone that wish they could've bought a complete Diemaco but couldn't afford it. I sold my DDMK18 lower because it was just a generic DDM4 lower, it brought nothing any other lower couldn't bring really, apart from a Diemaco or a Colt...

It seems there's alot of IURs available. Doesn't seem like it was an overrun on production, more like a cancelled order from my perspective.

The IUR are an over run as well. Of the Danish military order. Diemaco has a habit/history of producing 10% more than they need of any product for quality control and warranty parts.

Best guess I've heard is that there were 3000 guns on the Danish order. If true, and the 10% is true, that is 300 IUR. Given how the 1000 sa guns are still trickling off the shelf, and complete guns seem to sell better than just uppers alone, 300 IUR and 1000 SA seem to be holding the same selling rate, given the later release of the IUR compared to the SA.

The over run sa lowers all seem to have a 1200 to 1300 ish range end serial number. Not sure if anyone has a 1000 to 1200 gun anywhere. Nothing says there had to be. Serial numbers can jump all over the place. It could be a tracking thing itself.

But maybe I'm just full of conjecture.

At this point ... since I bought an upper when they came out already ... $400 + $15 shipping beats the $450 Al Flaherty has them for .... So I splashed the cash tonight!

As noted the supply of IURs, SA 15.7s, and SA 20s is not infinite ...

Having never built a lower before I'm finding the plethora of parts a bit overwhelming.
I was planning on swapping all the bits out of the Omni lower that my IUR came with, but I have decided to use some real quality parts.
But it seems like the supply of parts is endless and prices are all over the map.
Do I need a $300 trigger?

I'm sure you don't. But maybe you do. The thing with ARs is they are so easy to customize. Even if you don't get a 300 buck trigger now you can always do it later.

I really like the triggers in my S&W 29-2's. The CC trigger in my SA15.7 is crisp, but you can't tell when its going to break. In my service pistol (Glock) the trigger has that two stage feel which I like. Does anyone make such a trigger for an AR?

CPL bath worked awesome

Looks good. How long did you need to soak the lower?

How are these better than lower priced stripped lowers??
Seems a bit steep to me. Are they 7075 or some other stronger material than say the cheap one I got a few months back from NEA?
Are they produced by Colt Canada under a different name for a reason?
