start with buying the stock from ebay or gunbroker.com , try to get the romanian "dragunov" stock with buttplate. good luck.

Love the write up, i have been a big "Dragunov" fan for ever. ok so one question does any one make a custom Barrel that would make the "Clone" more accurate?? ive been looking and have yet to find any mention of a aftermarket barrels.. was wondering if some one like "Krieger Barrels" made a custome barrel... i know that Krieger has made custom .308 Barrels for the Romak 3/ PSL, and the tiger. has any one here dealt with Krieger before. they don't list any barrels that would be usable but that does not mean they would not make one... just curious ... I'm starting on my on project as i have the time...

Okay, I did the mounting finishing work by eye and here is the first mounting. Dremels rock. Next, the hole for the mounting bolt will be the channel for an ambi cheek riser. I need to sand it of course.

I think it is walnut and it was just some scrap I had around...actually four scraps that I laminated together. Any suggestions about what stain I should use?
