DLASK 10/22 barrels?

Do you guys think the DLASK barrels is a bench rest target quality barrel or more the varmint quality? also not a fan of the threaded barrel.

Wildcard91 thanks for the Hi-Jack :ar15: :stirthepot2:

now back to my question guys ( Do you guys think the DLASK 10/22 barrels are a bench rest target quality barrel or more the varmint quality? ) Also anyone order there 1 piece base?

I would not call them bench rest target quality barrels but would definately call them target quality barrels and would also work very well as varmint barrels. Bench rest target quality would usually entale alot more mods than just a quality barrel on a 10/22.

As for the rails I own 3 of them and have not seen one yet that compares to the quality or versatility.

Brocolt, I think you need a Green Mountain, Lilja, Shilen,
or something like that.
Even better, maybe you should get a bolt action.

MOA at 100? Who said that in this thread?
I know it has been mentioned on rimfirecentral
(Dlask 10/22 barrels shooting MOA at 100),
but that is an exageration.

I am yet to see a 22LR barrel (any brand)
that consistently shoots 1 MOA at 100 (with any kind of ammo).

Personally, I have shot 10/22 barrels
(and have seen 10/22 barrels being shot)
made by the very best
(or at least that are said to be the best),
including Broughton, Gaillard, Miller, etc.
and I can tell you that 1 MOA at 100 is a rare occurence
and even rarer when the group is 5 shots or more.

The Dlask barrels are chambered to make the best
out of cheap bulk ammo (Wallmart, CanTire), like
Win Dynapoint, Win Experts, Federal blue box (Champion), etc.
at 25/50 yds, where most of the informal shooting (plinking) is done.
To understand this, try to shoot bulk ammo
in any other production barrel (factory or aftermarket)
and please post and compare results.
Since you are at it, compare barrel prices too.

As I said many times before,
to achieve the best results in the Dlask barrels (or any other barrel),
you have to try few brands of ammo and choose the one
that shoots the best in your barrel.
Cleaning of the barrel (AND the rest of the rifle)
is also very important.
A nice decent trigger job is a MUST, as well as a good scope,
stock fitting, etc.

If you imagine that you can drop an aftermarket barrel,
(no matter how good) in an out-of-the-box 10/22
and you will shoot MOA, well... good luck with that.

Please read the 10/22 sticky to have a rough idea about
what other things (besides barrel) are recommended
in order to make a 10/22 rifle shoot reasonably accurate.

Ya well when I hop on my pig and fly to the range. Then use my super magical fairy rounds that she gave to me. My 22 can shoot a dime @ 200 meter's!
LOLOLOL!!!
Some people make me laugh.

Sorry guys I ment under an 1" group at 50 yards When I had posted last night I was very very tired up to long & had a hard day at work. I will edit

As for Green Mountain I'm going to stay away from them for a bit there has been reports of chamber problems with there last months run if I read correctly.

As for my build I'm all over upper end parts,
B&C Anschutz stock, or S&K Gunstocks.
Bolt kit by KID,
not sure yet on trigger kit : Power Custom, Hornet products, or KID trigger kit
desiding on barrel : KID, ER Shaw, Whistlepig, or Dlask barrel

Finally got my new Dlask barrel out today. It was cold and a bit breezy. I have some different parts coming so I wanted to get out and see how it would do before the changes.

OEM except for the barrel and stock. It did not like the Remington 22 Cyclone HP. Lots of FTF and 3 stove pipes out of 100 rounds. The American Eagle CP HP went through without missing a beat. I think I did OK. 3 and 5 shot groups at 50yds. Had two same holers on the three shot groups, which is the first time ever for me at that distance.

Sorry about all the pics, just excited!

Nikko Stirling Gold Crown 4-12x42, weaver rings, Dlask rail, Dlask fluted 20" barrel, auto bolt release mod. Trigger parts polished.

My Dlask barrel arrived last week, damn canada post Josef sent it on the 28 of december and it didnt arrive till the 3rd of febuary, Then after i called to check the status the week before it came they followed up with a service call to see how well they did!!!!!

Well enough of that its a 16" non fluted barrel with one of their muzzle breaks, its not for the particular barrel but its a really great fit and fairly inexpensive. Barrel looks ok and im rather surprised by they weight for such a short barrel. At the indoor 25 yrd range it produced 1/4 inch groups with american eagle LR seems decent enough, My factory barrel did .75-1" Sorry no outside numbers yet, but heres a pic to make up for it.

I think the only other thing i would like to do is upgrade the stock since i didnt realize how flexible the hogue is. If you were wondering the bolt handle is a .40S&W cart epoxied on. Works great.

This is no fair!
When is Dlask going to make us 597 wanibee's and spanky bad @$$ barrel that shoot's like that.
Then to boot you have one nice looking rig too. Ahh well sucks to be me :( & it looks like it  to be you.

No offence but thats why i didnt buy the 597, Just wondering whats wrong with the
597 VTR barrel? They cant beat rugers factory accuracy? if not thats pretty sad.

If others dont want this thread to turn into a flame game feel free to PM me instead.

And yeah its a nice rifle I am very happy with it for sure.

The action is far superior design compared to the Ruger's 10/22. Witch in return allows for greater repeatability hence better accuracy. But the barrel that they use is CR@P! It weights a metric ton and heats up like an S.O.B. Furthermore Remington is know to have very poor quality control standards as of late.

Well I just picked up a 12" Dlask. Very nice. My only complaint so far (I have not installed it yet) is that the muzzle brake I bought from them to go on the barrel does not tighten up in the right spot. I assume that I need a crush washer, but that was not supplied. I would figure for 65$ they could supply you with a washer to set the right space.

How would I install the barrel? Does it just slip in??
