DLASK 10/22 barrels?

These barrels seem to be selling well, I wonder why he doesn't do a run of 0.920" OD flash hiders to fit them properly?

Go back to them with the barrel,
the muzzle brake and the rest of the gun.

They will fit the barrel in the receiver for you
and they will give you a crush washer.

Other than I live in Alberta and they are in BC. I managed to get the barrel installed. Awesome man. Im so happy. THe Muzzle brake I got is 1" OD, so its nice. Just need to get it lined up. Is there every a chance the round could skip off the muzzle brake?? If its not screwed on well or something?

If the muzzle brake is screwed-in tight on the barrel,
then, the bullet will not miss the hole :)

But, the muzzle brake has to be in the right position
so it can compensate for the muzzle-climb.
If it is not, or if it rotates, then, it can have the oposite effect.
So, send them an e-mail, they will send you a crush-washer.

I can't get the mizzle cap off my Dlask barrel it's on so tight. I have tried a few different things, I don't want to mark up the cap so I haven't used heat or tools yet. as too the muzzle brake or comp are they planning to make one?

K, got out shooting some gophers. Very impressed with the accuracy. But, it is jamming like a b!t@h. The shell in the chamber is very hard to get out manually to clear it if you need be. So it loads fine, then I pull the trigger, and nothing. #### the rifle again with the same shell in there, and it will fire.

I have put a Vol extractor in (although I used the vol spring, instead of stock). I didnt lube the barrel or anything, I just installed it and went out shooting. Maybe thats what the issue is, needed to clean and oil the barrel??

Geez, I hope you have cleaned the barrel very good before using it.
DO NOT LUBE THE BARREL INSIDE.
THE BARREL SHOULD BE CLEAN AND DRY.

Speaking of which, clean the rest of the rifle too.
Slightly lube the guide-rod.

Like said in this thread and others,
you have to do a little experimening to see what ammo it likes.
Don't bother with target ammo, try the cheap bulk stuf.
Do not use hyper velocity ammo (stay away from Stinger, Velocitor, etc.).
Try: Winchester Dynapoint, 333, 550, etc, Federal Champion (blue box),
American Eagle, etc.

When chambering the first round of the mag,
do not "drive" the bolt forward with your hand.
Instead, let it go forward by itself.
There is some bullet imprinting into the rifling,
and because of that, the bullet will chamber with some resistance.
Letting the bolt slam forward by itself will take care of that resistance.

Keep the butt-pad into your shoulder.
If you try shooting from the hip or bump-firing
or other ghetto or redneck crap,
at each shot the rifle will move a bit on the same direction like the bolt,
and it will not cycle how it was designed to.

All Dlask barrels have been test-fired for cycling reliability.

K. Was just wondering if I could have assembled it funny or something. Seemed pretty straight forward to me, slide the barrel in and install the V block.

I will clean the barrel and the rest of the rifle. No I did not clean it before using. Figured it would have been done from Factory.

Cheers

mine was tight as f*ck going in and I ended up needing a heat gun to index it to the extractor groove. I was a bit worried about the crappy extraction everyones been talking about and havent had a single issue in over 500 rounds. other than the barrel and hogue stock, the gun isnt touched. the receiver, bolt, and trigger assembly is all factory.

so far ive only tried blaser, im gonna 'brand' test this week. im very impressed with this barrel. check out the group today, 10 shots at 25 yards, and im using a el cheapo 'truglo' red dot. im buying a real scope thursday.

Had to bring this back up :bump:

Now my question, has anyone have a problem with Dlask barrels when it comes to seating the barrel into the receiver? my 16" dlask barrel is very tight in both receivers both the factory Ruger & the Dlask frames I can't get it in all the way. now I have a weighted Green Mountain match barrel and it is snug when placing that into both receivers but not like the Dlask barrel was.

mine was tighter than...well....something:p

i got the barrel half way on, then it wouldn't go no more, i couldn't even get it off or get it to twist side to side.

so i put the receiver and barrel in the freezer for about 45 minutes, and then successfully removed the barrel, and lightly sanded the action barrel hole with a piece of fine sandpaper wrapped around my pinky finger.

that worked like a charm:)

apply heat to the receiver with a heat gun, it didnt take me much. move the gun all around, applying it evenly and tryng the barrel every 15 or 20 seconds. some guys freeze the barrel, or do a combination of both.

I did the heat gun to the receiver and the barrel was cold. Fits tight (that's a good thing isn't it?)

After about 1000 rounds, I am starting to get FTE on live rounds. They are in tight. I expect to see lead build up on an imperfection in the barrel. I will know today as my boyd stock is in an I will take apart and inspect.

What is a bentz chamber?

I emailed Dlask, have not heard from them at all.....pretty dissapointed. Got lots of replies when I had the order on the go.
