Beautiful setup, would love a range report on how she shoots!
So, I got the TUF22 out to the range... I first swapped the scope out for a Leupold Mark-AR 6-18X40mm AO. It was a shaky start. I tried Wolf MT, SK St.+, CCI SV, CCI Subsonic HP, CCI Mini-Mag 36 HP, Eley Club and Eley Sunsonic HP... they all shot like crap, I was getting POI shifts and brutal fliers that would spray randomly an inch out in every direction. I stopped and took a good look at the rifle and found a sticky spot on the left side of the barrel channel, so I pulled the barrelled action out of the stock and took a 3/4" dowel wrapped in a sheet of 120 grit paper to the channel and discovered that Boyd's had not fully countersunk the front bushing that locks down the At-One forend... it was contacting the underside of the barrel. I sanded the channel down until there was full barrel relief and then refinished with three coats of Tru-Oil. When it dried I reassembled the rifle with firm but not excessive torque on the action bolt (no torque wrench available). I then tried again with the CCI Subsonic HP, which had been the most consistent prior to the disassembly. The change was immediate, with groups half the size as before, and they kept getting better as shooting progressed. Now that one issue has been rectified, I will have to go back through testing the ammo types again to see if there is something else that the rifle prefers... but the results are promising.
The targets below posted out of sequence... the middle two targets were before the stock relieving took place, the bottom target was the first after the relief and the top target was the final target shot... all targets shot at 50 meters using CCI Subsonic HP.
