Dlask Tuf22 Scope suggestions please

Beautiful setup, would love a range report on how she shoots!

So, I got the TUF22 out to the range... I first swapped the scope out for a Leupold Mark-AR 6-18X40mm AO. It was a shaky start. I tried Wolf MT, SK St.+, CCI SV, CCI Subsonic HP, CCI Mini-Mag 36 HP, Eley Club and Eley Sunsonic HP... they all shot like crap, I was getting POI shifts and brutal fliers that would spray randomly an inch out in every direction. I stopped and took a good look at the rifle and found a sticky spot on the left side of the barrel channel, so I pulled the barrelled action out of the stock and took a 3/4" dowel wrapped in a sheet of 120 grit paper to the channel and discovered that Boyd's had not fully countersunk the front bushing that locks down the At-One forend... it was contacting the underside of the barrel. I sanded the channel down until there was full barrel relief and then refinished with three coats of Tru-Oil. When it dried I reassembled the rifle with firm but not excessive torque on the action bolt (no torque wrench available). I then tried again with the CCI Subsonic HP, which had been the most consistent prior to the disassembly. The change was immediate, with groups half the size as before, and they kept getting better as shooting progressed. Now that one issue has been rectified, I will have to go back through testing the ammo types again to see if there is something else that the rifle prefers... but the results are promising.

The targets below posted out of sequence... the middle two targets were before the stock relieving took place, the bottom target was the first after the relief and the top target was the final target shot... all targets shot at 50 meters using CCI Subsonic HP.

Was out again the TUF 22, and still have the Leupold Mark-AR Mod.1 6-18X40mm AO mounted... using CCI Subsonic HP's, which it seems to prefer. Prior to this outing I did a little more relieving of the barrel channel and front of the receiver, then sealed it all up with Tru-Oil. The rifle has fallen into it's groove. The first target, what appears to be a single shot at 50 meters is actually a five shot group, followed by a single click to the right and then a ten shot group at 50 meters... should be able to take out grouse eyeballs with this rig.

You don't suck and at least ur honest! Great shooting to you and superb from Hoytcannon. Nice to see the pics of ur rifles too. thanks

Off the bench at 50 yards averages 0.6-0.7" but I suck.

What types of ammo have you tried... the hyper stuff was not good in my rifle... 1.5 MOA with frequent fliers of 1/2" to 3/4", but it was great with standard velocity (1 MOA) and Subsonic loads (1/2 - 3/4 MOA).

Nothing pricey.

I just tried the standard velocity ammo again, CCI, Federal Gold Match and Sellier & B.

This rifle definitely does not like standard velocity as at 50 yards off the bench I can't group them less than 3/4".

Mininmags, Federal Automatch, CCI Velocitors and American Eagle all grouped easily in the 0.6-0.7" range. They blow out to 2-3" at 100 yards though. At 100 yards the velocitors were best.

On a positive note the reticle on the PA 1-6x ACSS was bang on with all of the high velocity loads at 100 yards based on a 50 yard zero with minimags.

Off the bench it was boring to hit a tennis ball resealable target at 100 yards. Off hand with the 1907 sling from a kneeling position was challenging...…...

I run my Tuf w a 16.5 barrel for PRS,, 30 moa rings and a bushnell engage 3-9 x 30 moa scope. have hit 24" steel plates @ 1/2 km.. just be sure to run standard springs or high velo springs if u have the kidd guide rod.. the tollerances are sooo tight that getting the bolt out can be a biotch w the machined bolt ( if they haven't fixed the prob from the first gen. )

I run mainly eley for targets, federal gold 711b for practice. some RWS rifle targets,,
