So SFRC just posted about them having some Breda/Beretta stripped M1 Garand recievers for sale.
I am not (generally) a "mil-surp" guy (not that I don't like them, just that I when "traditionalists" get all pissy about using "non-correct" parts on guns)
I do not hunt.
The 30-06 cartridge does not immediately appeal to me.
However, I do like working projects, and I've always thought the Garand was pretty cool design with the Canadian heritage and all.
So, the question is: Do I want one of these?
How hard is it to find parts to assemble a Garand (not perfect condition, "period-correct" parts, but just parts that all work together so that it's a functioning gun)?
