Surprised anyone else here knows that name. Yes, these would be WA Tom's barrels. There is also the option of importing just the handguards and sights which would be under the $500 ITAR limit.
I have some interesting news.
I spoke with my contact in the States who makes the DOE replica barrel assemblies and he is willing to renew his DoS ITAR registration for the year if there is sufficient interest for a reasonably small run, say 60-100 units. Estimated landed cost would be $350-400 USD which includes the barrel, front sight assembly, handguards, and barrel nut; everything forward of the receiver.
This thread should be moved to the Black Rifles forum where it will get the correct exposure.
Last time I was looking at Police Ordnance's website they had the Armson listed as a Trijicon product.I'm looking at some 9mm AR stuff in the near future - if things work out (private sale, fingers crossed) I'll be in. Anyone know if anyone is making tritium powered Armson OEG's these days??
Well that's interesting.
I wonder if the overpenetration thing is true tho...
I know very well what the barrier penetration characteristics of 9mm vs 5.56 are, I just think they would stick to 5.56 if what they wanted was less overpenetration.
