Let's get a bit more scientific here folks.

This poll is ONLY FOR OWNERS of these guns who have ACTUALLY FIRED THEM.

OK?

No politics guys, just the facts (from the range) Maam

QUESTION: Are you happy with the gun? Yes or No.

This poll will track everyone who votes on it and how they voted. I hope that this will prevent non-owners from voting as their opinions do not count in the context of this poll.

I have not yet received my Outlaw yet so I will not vote in the poll until I have received mine and have actually fired it.

So to the owners, please post a picture of your gun, ie. not one from the CANAM website. You don't have to be in the photo, nor does it have to be gun #### grade. It could just be a cellphone camera shot to prove that your vote and opinion in this thread is based on actual ownership and use rather than an opinion.

Comments from OWNERS who have fired their Outlaws are welcomed since these will comprise observations based on facts and actual usage as opposed to non-fact based opinion.

Remember guys, for this thread, let's keep the politics out of it.

Thanks to all.

I'm defenitely happy with the gun. Realistically, the quality is in line with the price. Improvements could be made, but not a price anywhere near what these guns sell for.

I bought mine for fun, I've wanted a short SxS since I was a kid. That's all I expected out of it, be fun to shoot and don't explode, it does the job. It's also actually less of a fudd agitator than my 14" 590, so I can shoot it in relative peace.

It's not a family heirloom, or the only thing I'd want with me to repel the zombie horde, but it's fun to shoot and a great conversation piece.

Hey, put my order in on jan21, of course the order hasn't been processed.
Im anxiously awaiting the arrival of this thing. I love watching western movies, and love the idea of a short sxs with exposed hammers :)

I cant wait to get this thing here, and put every different load i can, also thinking of cutting the stock down a couple of inches and installing a limbsaver,,,,, or a slab of tarnished brass to keep its vintage look

Wow those are fantastic ,and if they are cheap I would not care if they were made by Kim Jong Ill and the profits going to alquaida!

What is it like to let go with both barrels?

Is the forestock really as ugly as it looks in those pics?

I don't own any PRC guns and don't really like their politics but 3/4 of the crap in my house comes from their already. I also love the idea that there are cool guns us
Canadians can own and the Yanks can't.

Great idea for a poll as well. I would really like to get a honest evaluation from people who have actually fired one. I would also like to hear some comparisons between it and other coach guns like the Stoeger that take into account the prices?

Does mine still count...
It only got a quick test, then a disassembly, then I toyed with the idea of taking it out again, but with parts inbound I went for the total disassembly.

For the price I am very pleased, but that said, I could see how people could not be. I had a few issues of screws not in straight, slightly sloppy assembly etc. None of them stopped the gun from going bang, but are issues I think most non-tinkering owners would complain about, or maybe mumble. I viewed this as an easy project gun, and smithing or fixing one of these guns is easy, and that said there is room for tweeking.

Proposed steel buttplate, still in the fabrication process, with the stock getting an inch or so clipped off it.

Picture008.jpg

The extractors came out easily enough, but exhibit some rough machining, not enough to affect them, but I will smooth them up, as well as the cam.

With the extractors yanked you can see the hand filling etc done during manufacture.

Picture015.jpg

Safety engaged, that top screw on mine was in crooked, I just removed it, and put it in straight, the safety went from being insanely hard to smooth as silk.

Safety disengaged

Sideplate uncocked
Picture018.jpg

Sideplate cocked, the arrow is pointing to a spot on the hammer that as I mentioned in other posts was dinging the reciever on the way down, some filing was done and its ok now.
I would say a cold blue would suffice for any nicks on these guns, but from the time of purchase I was planning a slick n' refinish for it, so yes, for 300$s I am very happy with it.

Scientific pole? Are you happy with your Dominion Arms Outlaw?

Some, I suspect many, may be happy if it does not blow up or fall apart? If it does fall apart some may be happy because they did not pay more for it? How about, Does your outlaw shoot to point of aim at 20 yards? Choice ? Yes. No. I don't care. How about, do you care if your outlaw does not have a proof mark? Choice ? Yes. No. What's a proof mark?

FYI, poll is spelled without an "e".

Good poll questions should be simple. If you dont like the way this poll is worded, please feel free to start one of your own in another thread.

Have a nice day.

Now back to the thread with opinions from people who can base their observations on actual use ie. a more "scientific" approach.

So for those of us who cannot vote (not being owners) can those who have voted please post the poll results.

Sorry, didn't realize that people who were playing by the rules couldn't see the poll results. I haven't voted but can see the results by hitting the "See Results" button.

That's just it! The type of pole you are doing is spelled with an e. Not scientific at all. Just made to be pissed on. Good luck with your scientific pole.
2 to 9 so far! What do you term success? 50%:dancingbanana:

A friendly reminder to all.

Those of us who don't have an Outlaw can view the results by clicking on 'view poll results', right below and to the right of the poll questions.

Is that CanAm listed on the Yes side. No pics I see. I would expect him to be 100% honest as he has an interest in this pole. ROFLMAO
