What is the position of Pheasants Forever, and Grouse Unlimited?

Just wondering.

Totally an oversight.... those two groups are awesome in my eyes as well and we will continue to support them as well. We don't see the Grouse peps very often, but Pheasants Forever are VERY active in Alberta.

My bad... sorry

No need for an apology Mr. Evans. We must support ALL of the shooters in this country and not let the government divide us.

And remember fellow CGN folks, buy from our CGN retail advertisers. They will be the backbone of our survival.

Then sell your firearms and leave to go build some marshes and sing kumbaya. You've proven who you are.

Yeah we're advocating for the destruction of wetlands, WAM.

You done your tantrum yet?

You are advocating for the destruction of wetlands as much as Duck Unlimited is lobbying to ban every gun in Canada, WAM.

Had a perfect timing situation yesterday: was discussing the DU situation with a friend at this business on my lunch hour. He is a Club member, RO & active shooter as well as an avid (hobby) wildlife photographer but has never ever hunted anything. He has religiously supported DU in our area for the past 20 years by means of generous donations, supporting their fundraising dinners and participating in their silent auctions.

Lo-and-behold in walks one of the local DU guys looking for their annual financial support from my buddy. He politely refused it: first time ever. He very politely explained why and that if DU can't support the hunters, he can't support DU. The DU guy said they are getting a quite a bit of that lately and the national sentiment is that this is going to hurt them.... a lot. He was apologetic for DU's stance and also candidly voiced his displeasure in their lack of support.

I guess hindsight is 20-20 and this incident may very well be a bit of a learning point for them. It's time ALL organizations/ corporations/ businesses appreciate the revenue potential hunters/shooters/ gun owners are and the negative or positive impact on their bottom line that can be realized based on their "corporate" decisions.

The biggest challenge, as has always been, is for us as gun owners to present a unified front.

Wow,
I sure hope you aren't accusing me of contributing NOTHING to the firearms community.
I don't think I know you, do you know me? I am a troll because I disagree with you? Are you even sure that i do?
Do you know what organizations, clubs, and charities I have been volunteering with for the past 27 years or the hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars I have donated!?
I haven't posted before now because the majority of the discussion on this site is either very technical or inane and, frankly, not worth my time.
I regret that this particular issue got me riled up enough to say something.

Would you limit the democratic process to only those who have chimed in on every manner of irrelevant drivel before now?
Not me sir.

I am an enthusiastic restricted firearms owner and I, like most people here (I think), do not believe that further limiting or even banning the legal ownership of restricted firearms will do anything to prevent gun crime in this country. Having said that, I would surrender mine, without hesitation, if the informed public of this nation decided that it should be so.
That is why I support the petition because it advocates for democratic process.
I do not; however, hold DU responsible for advocating restricted firearm ownership.
They are not, after all, the NRA.

There are those on this forum raising the ALARMing likelihood that "THEY" won't be stopping at restricted firearms. Ridiculous fear mongering!
This initiative is about RESTRICTED firearms, pure and simple. I renew my astonishment that any thoughtful person would expect DU to advocate on their behalf for the ownership of restricted firearms.

Given a choice, I would limit access to weapons of any kind, including automobiles and the internet, to thoughtful people only.

You need to stop drinking your own koolaid, and get a grip. I guess you know about Bill C71? If you did you wouldn't be spouting your mouth off.

adopt Bill C-71 and to ban military style semi-automatic weapons in Canada by limiting the use of these weapons to military personnel only

Now all you need to do is go educate yourself on "military style semi automatic weapons". :)

Please share the criteria you would use to decide who is thoughtful?

Dear Sir,

If the government follows it's own press releases; they are on record stating that they are looking at the New Zealand model. In New Zealand, they started with the AR styles but quickly included all kinds of non-restricted firearms including a ton of models used for bird hunting.

The proposals will not be limited to military firearms, that is more than clear now. For once, it is not ridiculous fear mongering. I believe that this government, if they get their way, will attack the firearms community unlike any in the past.

I for one am not accusing you of anything. :) We all are allowed to agree to disagree... This is a democracy.

Sincerely,

JR

When they come for your semi auto duck gun don't say we didn't try to forewarn you. But in all likelihood your head will still be stuck so far in the sand that you won't even see them come and take it.

Time to stop drinking the LieBeral koolaid and start sticking up for ALL firearms owners.

Rich coming from the guy that has had more nonsense to say in 9 months than most have in 10ish years. Do you play dress up in all your tactical gear while you light up that keyboard? I'd be willing to bet your WPM rivals most machine guns RPM.

Your comment will age like milk.

In your mind, is C-71 a figment of my imagination? (read the bill before answering)
Also: You would hand over your rights to protection, mobility and communication to ANY government for them to decide if you can have human rights??!! Wow.......Ive heard legends of the Ultra-Beta-Cuck but I never thought I would encounter one in the wild!

If every gun owner would be like you it would be a lot easier to implement our bans and agenda - Justin Trudeau

There is so much epic fail in your statement..I dont know where to start!!

Beeron, you're such a good, well behaved sheep! I'm not sure how you've given up having a spine like that, but its quite sad to witness.

Also, how do you know its only about restricted firearms, when A) they haven't released the ban list yet and B) they did state the mini-14, a NR firearm, would be on the list?

Youza.

I hereby officially announce to you that you are in utter, complete denial and contradiction about who/what you are and what you believe in.

Epic, epic fail.
Youza.
