I appreciate your honesty and willingness to admit to faults, but I would not for one second be apologizing to the people who continue to live in the past and can't seem to take their blinders off long enough to see the present or the future. They should seriously consider the statement on the firearm stance by DU on their own website and contemplate what kind of "fantasy island" scenario are they trying to play out here.

DU strongly supports the right to bear arms and believes that with that right comes a responsibility to use firearms lawfully and safely. The ownership and use of firearms is intertwined with wildlife management and conservation in North America, and we strongly support hunting. Without hunters and recreational shooters and their financial contributions through hunting licenses and excise taxes on sporting arms, national conservation funding would be decimated.
And with that statement people still delusional enough to say that they are only a "wetland" conservation group have been in the duck blind too long and their brains are waterlogged.
You can't be putting statements like that on your website and not support all firearms, pardon if I've ruffled some feathers although I am not sorry.
