I owned a Desert Eagle XII - .357 Magnum....then used it as currency ($1,000.00 credit) to upgrade to a HK USP Tactical .45 Auto...VERY WORTH IT!!!
What can I say about the DEZ-E ?.....well, it was a piece of ####e. Sure it looks cool, but very un-reliable, poor craftsmanship (Isreal/IMI), prone to malfunctions (Even when using proper 158 gr. JHP's and NOT "limp-wrist'n)
It is relatively accurate but is intimidating for shooters not use to handling "heavy hitterz". I must say thought....the barrel is excellent internally. Just like a Glock or Heckler&Koch is has the polygonal (sp???) rifling which gives it added velocity and longer barrel life, not to mention a breeze to clean.
Last words.......dont get one unless its brand spanking new and you've got $$$$$ to support it. You'd be much better off buying a HK Mark 23 SOCOM .45 Auto or a USP Tactical...if thats your thing?
Good luck.
