E-mailed The Brass at Hodgdon

Some people are just gready pigs (ussually in all aspects of life)and that is all fine and dandy I could care less, what fills me with disgust is when they brag about

You guys can call me whatever you want. I will shoot through 40 pounds of powder in the next year. Almost half of it will be practicing IPSC, another 12 pounds of it might make it through the year for shotgun slugs.

You Bitumen, are the one with the sense of entitlement. It screams in your letter you wrote and it screams of it throughout this thread. No manufacturer owes you anything and you can be as patient as you want but they have no obligation to fulfill your wants. I you can't read or pay attention it is your fault. I have mentioned Lawry's and Hummason several times in the last few weeks and everyone else who has PM'd me has gotten those names right away.

You just keep whining. I have no idea why people who don't know my shooting habits would call me a glutton or greedy. I am also the one who sits for hours casting my own slugs and my own pistol bullets. Just because you load up 500 rounds of year and most likely don't think anyone "needs" to do anymore, I shoot 500 rounds an hour on most weekends these days.

You go cry in a corner because I have lots and lots of powder, and you don't.

Of coarse its to himself. He will buy all the store has then come on here and say how he has enough for 45 years of shooting and how it sucks to be everyone else. I caught word of a few guys in my city that are buying all the powder they can just because they have the money to buy it.

Guys that cant afford to buy 50-500 pounds of powder at one time just have to suffer until all the greedy people get their fill. Because someone might come take their guns. Guess what powder aint gonna do much good without guns. So chill the F out and let some other people enjoy this hobby as well

Oh muffin! When I bought my powder they had just got in thousands of pounds of powder... Not only did they have their order, they had Emmett's order too. I asked Joanne and she was like "we have over one hundred one pound containers of Varget". Did I buy them all? no, I bought two. Herco... what I use for my slugs, they had 12, I bought them all. Clays, what I use for pistol for IPSC... I bought 14 based on what I feel I will shoot through the next year.

You buncha puddin faces can cry all you want but maybe there are people who shoot more than you and will buy accordingly. I buy what I will use within the next year or so. Don't blame me if you guys can't network and find your own sources for stuff. I talk to people all the time and they get to know me. When that happens guess what... ring ring... Hi Corey, this is so and so, we just got a shipment of blah blah blah in... and I am like well yep, I'll be there soon.

And just for good measure Bitumen... Here are a select few posts from the last few weeks where we have been hiding these mysterious suppliers from everyone, because throughout all of your calling all over the country and coming here to proudly display a retarded email making us look like fools in Canada, you could have simply done a little bit of reading.

I suppose you either missed all these wonderful threads or somehow I have gone back in time and added these in after the fact right?

You can take your powder and stick it where the sun don't shine.

Those links are all BS to what I'm looking for. Oh, and another thing, you don't know how many rounds a year I shoot. I will tell you that is wayyyyy more than the 500 you suggested.

Just because you have no life and can sit at a bench for hours casting slugs and bullets does not entitle you to all the powder you want. You seem to think that. Maybe you should call up Hodgdon and tell them to ship all their production to your door then?

I'm looking for a total of 7 pounds of powder right now. Is that much to as for? Just to get me thru hunting season. How can you call me greedy ?

You got it. Like on here with Coreyd saying "nah, na, na, na, na......I got all the powder and you got none."

Lol, we all do that anyway though...

So people who enjoy long casting sessions all have no life now?

Dealers in Ontario seem to have powder flowing quite well these days, bit of a price increase, primers are still running 40.00+ per 1000, S&B primers are cheaper but have dried up over the last 2 weeks. There is definitely no shortage of .22 rimfire ammo, Fed 525rd bulk packs are running $22.00-25.00.

As I've mentioned before to people out east, be glad you aren't out west!

Powder, primers, and most time projectiles are more expensive!! I've never seen match grade primers below 44$ in the last year. Powder is often 5-10$/lb more out here.

Last 2000 primers I bought (GMM) were 55/1000.

They were however in stock when everybody was crying wolf. I didn't complain because I was on my last 100 BR2's.

Does that make you feel better bragging about it? Sure sounds like it.
Good I'm glad you shoot lots.I am sure others would like to as well but cant find powder to do so.

Not everyone has thousands of dollars to spare to drop on powder. But If its not for you you would know that. Mighty selfish to buy out a store if you ask me.

When I buy powder I buy a pound or 2 and leave some for someone else. Why? Because I am being considerate to other shooters. Thats what counts in my books. We all want more people to join the sport but its mighty hard to get people to join when there is nothing to use in their guns because some high roller cleaned out the store because all he cares about is himself.

Edit. I'm sure you know this already but maybe take a look at the regulations for storage of said powder. I seem to remember something about the 10kg of it.

Here you go
