It's a fact... I have all the powder I want, except for H4350 but nobody in Canada got that. You still say you are looking for almost everything you want, so ya... I got the powder and you don't.
Ive got H4350, so dont be sayin nobody got that, lol

Im not saying thank you to anyone. there manufacturing and selling a product. they don't provide me with a free service or anything, I pay for an item and they manufacture it and sell it to me. If there product is so backordered that its not available im not going to "thank"" them for providing what little product we have received recently. if they don't want sell me something then fine ill buy from somewhere else.if they were selling pancakes and were backordered 8 months and only had a box once every 3 months would we thank them? or would we just buy pancakes from another supplier? gotta remember that YOU are the customer and them selling you something means they should be thanking YOU not the other way around.

Just curious, how do you propose to buy a particular manufacturer's exclusive product........ if not from that manufacturer?

Interestingly enough, I was in at Lawry's yesterday and picked up a whole bunch of sh*t that is hard to find anywhere (including the last 3 lbs of Varget, CCI Benchrest primers). How was I able to do this? Because I called a week ago and put everything on hold following a tip from another CGN'er on where the latest shipment had arrived. Patrick

Ya i was just in there wednesday, and i think i had seen your order sitting on the table there, others were like $1300 worth of stuff, i picked up just 4 lbs varget, was all i needed of the 10lbs left last friday there.

The thing is, whenever we are faced with a shortage up here in Canada all of us are in the same boat. It is our contacts, savvy and willingness to hunt that separates the haves from the have-nots. I always find the guns, powder, components that I am looking for because I ask questions, call ahead, look around and keep my eyes/ears peeled. If you think the brass @ Hodgdon give a sh*t about Canada you are sadly mistaken. Pick a manufacturer of anything firearms related and you will find that Canada represents a very small percentage of their market share and our needs will always be subordinate to those of our American friends.

This thread reminds me of other threads where a guy has emailed a dealer about something, waited for a response for 2-3 weeks and then started a thread here on CGN about a non-responsive dealer. If you want something bad enough, pick up the f*ckin phone and call.

Its not going to get better anytime soon, so quit #####ing and start putting the work in like the rest of us.

Listen here. We all don't live in a place where we can just drop in and pick up equipment whenever we pass by. I live in a place that has NO firearms store or anything of that sort. My best option is Crappy Tire and that's it. I HAVE to rely on mail order to get my stuffs. Like I've said many times before, I have phoned across this country looking for stuffs.

Once Henry (Budget Shooter Supply) opens up again on the 3rd just place an order with him. I had him special order 8lb jugs of the two powders I use (H4350 and H4895) a while back (before the shortage). It might take a while but it's worth it to be prepared for the inevitable next shortage.

When I was reading up on reloading (before I got into it) I read numerous threads on the last primer shortage. Here in Canada we're beholden to the whims of the American populace, and it's only a matter of time before there is another run on powder or primers, or whatever. So, once I had good loads developed using the above powders, I ordered the 8lb jugs and also stocked up on the relevant primers, brass and bullets. My policy is that once I hit the 4lb mark on a jug, I'll order another 8lbs.

I do feel for those guys just starting out, but I'm sure a polite "can anyone help out a newbie with some powder" thread would have folks lending a hand. At the beginning, you're trying out powder one pound at a time to develop loads. The guys that are complaining that they can't find the 8lbs of their favorite powder from the same lot number, etc, really ought to know better and plan in advance. Even then, you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar. My $0.02.

So all the more reason you should be ordering larger lots of powder, save of shipping charges and you won't be in the situation your are in now....

Planning does alot.

OK so now you are saying that you live in the middle of buttf@ck nowhere with no gun stores around you and you have the nuts to complain to an American company on behalf of the rest of us in Canada who can find what we need quite easily. Maybe instead of sending retarded emails, follow what others have said and ask for help to locate what you want. I gave my sources to 3-4 people who PM'd me and asked. I would have extended the same to you until you decided to represent the rest of us.

How do these threads carry on like this?

Because some people got kicked out of their Facebook accounts for fighting and have no where else to go.

Because the moderator is out chasing down powder and bullets and not watching the forum.

Because the haves and the have nots always argue and fight.

Because the difference between Communism and Capitalism is under Communism man exploits man.............
and under Capitalism its just the other way around.

And finally, because we were allowed to watch violent cartoons when we were young and now you are watching the results. (This is what the liberal physiologists and anti-gun lobby all say)

I know this for a fact because my oldest son is a criminal profiler and he said he took these courses in college to understand his father better
