I've eaten fox, raccoon, muskrat, beaver, raven, cormorant, seagull, crow, blackbirds, dog, etc.

I'd try coyote if I had to. But the interest in eating strange animals took a serious downturn once I got to Alberta and could eat moose, elk and deer instead.

Out of the above list, cormorant, muskrat and raccoon were the best.

I would not, could not eat a yap-yoddle dog.
Nor could I eat a fox -
With Junior Dos Santos I would rather box.
I would not eat it in my house,
I'd prefer to be infected with some form of louse.
I could not, would not, on a boat.
I will not, will not, with a goat.
I will not eat one in the rain.
I will not eat one on a train.
Not in the dark! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! cyaN1de, Superbrad and others just let me be!
I do not like coyote in a box.
Niether will I eat a fox.
I will not eat coyote in my house.
I do not like one with a mouse.
I do not like coyotes here or there.
I do not like coyotes ANYWHERE!

A Chinese restaurant in Edmonton got in $hit for having skinned coyote carcasses in their locker a couple years ago.

I may or may not have eaten it... not sure.....

BUt seriously, some guy over on 24hr. shot a Timber Wolf, ate the tenderloins and said it was some of the best meat he's ever ate. And he looked to be a 50-60 somthing year old veteran big game hunter.

I have not tried coyote or raccoon because they are rabies carriers.I did try porcupine before,it was OK and everyone wanted seconds (even after I told them what they just ate,LOL).Porcupine was a painful experience to skin though!

I once went to eat at my favorite Chinese restaurant in Surrey,BC and the place was barred up,looked like a jail! I later found out that this buffet got shut down by the health board for serving cat and rat!!! My Hubby and I ate there like once a week. Now I think back, those dumplings just didn't have a pork like texture:eek:
