Eatting Coyote. Have you/Would you?

Carp is actually very good smoked. The important part is to remove the mud vein that runs down the sides. I'm also told that it's very good cubed, boiled in sal####er and served with melted butter for dipping.

Pretty much any fish is good smoked though. And it all tastes like lobster when it's boiled and dipped in butter........;)

Exactly my point.... carp eat crap off the bottom.... where all the pollution and mercury and leaked sewage goes....

They eat dogs in korea.... how is that different?

You presuppose that carp only live in mercury polluted and sewage infested waters and that they eat "crap". That is, obviously, not true.

I don't have a problem with differentiating dogs and fish.

what about the old rule of 'wrap it in bacon, slather it with bbq sauce and grill til crispy'? After grilling up some moose steaks tonight, I can't say I'd be terribly interested in dog, although, if my choices are to eat dog or not eat meat, well, meat is meat right?

big problem with carp in my zone here is that you have to kill them to get more exercise i ride my bike to the river with a carp sitting on the grass or concrete for 6 or so HR not something i want to eat i bring it home and throw it in the compost and really its greasy and thats from someone who will eat just about anything including coyote/wolf,skunk,fox,racoon,squirrel

???

the point was if you cant put it on ice (like me with riding my bike) then your not going to want to eat it unless you only go fishing for 10 min :p

So it seems that more people would chow down on a deer's nutsack (based on the other thread here somewhere) than a wild dog.

Interesting......

I think maybe some 400lber in 100 degree weather who hasnt washed in two weeks, who lives on Mcdonalds and is a smoker and who also has a raging yeast infection...

Might be worse. :p

ymmv

You are one sick puppy. Thanks.:slap::D

I've eaten coyote and lynx in the last two years.

Actually, they are both very similar.

The meat is very lean, moderately tough, and lighter colored, more like rabbit than bear, for example. It's also pretty bland tasting and innofensive. Honestly, I can't see anyone trying it with an open mind and finding they really dislike it - it's kind of like the chicken of big game. If people are disgusted by the idea of eating it, then it's the idea that disgusts them, not a lean, mild tasting, light colored meat.

We did up both one batch of lynx and one batch of coyote in the slow cooker with a good mix of veggies and potatoes and spice and both meats were a fine meal.
