The elcans have very nice glass, a good optic for sure.
Excellent glass, very good FOV, only downside for me is it maxes out at 4x magnification, I prefer 6x if I can get it.
There is a 1.5x to 6x if I remeber correctly.

I agree. I've looked through all the expensive stuff that I'll most likely never own at the store and when I looked through the specter DR it was quite a thing of beauty. But I'd still rather go with a 200$ optic and spend the majority of my money buying new guns. I would however spend that type of money if I had to use my rifle all day everyday i.e. if I was deployed or something and in that case you dont spend any money cause all your stuff is issuedIt is a rather spectactular sight to use though. Most people that look through them are astounded with how nice they are.

Mucho dollerinos IIRC.
I've owned one - sold it and got a NF 1-4x instead. No regrets. The biggest thing I disliked - the ARMS lever mounts!!! THose things SUCK! No adjustment capability... I've bent the levers trying to get them off... needed to use a thick spoon and prrrrry it open. If your rail is underspec, you need to use shims made of cut up pop cans... realllly nice!
The optics ARE very very good, as is the FOV. The weight, combined with the ARMS levers, made me look for a change. I'm assuming the bases are 'better' than the fixed 4x Elcans, but I still don't get why Elcan doesn't make something with internal adjustments (ACOG like). For a range monkey like me, it's probably not an issue either way.

2k optics and under spec rails……more details please.
I didnt have any mounting issues with mine. The weight sounds heavy until you compare it with a scope and mount (so many people seem to forget that when looking at weight)

Okay, that is one of the nicest setups I've seen. ALBERTA Tactical rifle? I'm going to look them up I believe. THANKS WINGSUIT!
