LOL...

This thread morphed from plinking spruce boards, spanking troll, arrows in cement, sig lines, etc...you guys are awesome during the off season!

Speaking of sig lines...DOUBLELUNG wins...could watch that jiggle all day long...hehe...

People were pretty hard on this thread. Some said there was no way to tell anything from shooting a board, and I tend to agree, but went on to say the gun must have been pretty wimpy from the appearance of the holes (a bit of a contradiction there). Some said the gun wasn't accurate enough. Some called him a troll. There was a lot a great jokes.:dBut in my opinion it was still a much more interesting thread than "Is my 270 big enough for moose?" or "Whats the best all around cartridge?" etc. etc.

the guys on another forum where a little nicer to him but not near as entertaining. Apparently it was a 1/5oz 410 slug for those who really care.
Anyone who actually tried to offer an opinion were quickly argued with the OP anyway, so they all gave up. He clearly has his mind made up and didn't really want anyone's input anyway. Well I guess he might have been happy if you 100% agreed with him, but nobody has yet so who knows.

It's typically how these threads go....... some of us have grown wise to the usual antics...

Post pic of vague target material shot with mystery cartridge and ask if it's good enough.... then wait for someone to say "hell yes it is", followed by the "big reveal" that it is a cartridge completely unsuitable for the task....... then go on to use this as "scientific proof" that anyone using anything bigger faster or stronger than the cartridge in the Op knows nothing and is wasting their time with such a large and powerful cartridge.......

Maybe I can get something useful out of this thread since he won't...Wtf IS a .410 slug good for? My brother has one of those 22 over 410 survival guns and we found some slugs and went to crack them off one day when I was brand new to shooting (still pretty new mind you). After hitting a few small diameter trees that stopped the slugs I decided based on this highly scientific test that I guessed in a survival situation you could try it on a deer given the chance but it was pretty underpowered. Then I promptly forgot all about it..410 is for skeet shooting and that's it in my house...But now I ask the Cgn crowd. 410 slugs, why do they even makem?
