Exciting new SKS Picatinny Scope rail

Very nice and made in canada. To bad its so expensive. For another $40 I could get an sks. Ill stick with my vector rail for now.

Well all the sks scope mounts I have seen in the past are junk so I bit the bullet and just ordered this Canadian made rail! Hope I am not disappointed after forking out $150 with taxes and shipping.

Considering the amount of material and work, couldn't get much cheaper even if it was made in China. It's on my "to-buy" list after the 3 gun setup.

Seriously? come on it could be way cheaper, but every needs to make their nut, and I don't blame them. I'm willing to bet that actual manufacturing costs are well under $50 bucks.

It's crazy how with so many SKS rifles out there no one has come up with a decent idea on how to scope them correctly. Hopefully this will finally be a reasonable solution that can hold zero

Yes, damn canucks require a decent wage.
Haha thank you for that. I'm always willing to spend extra money on Canadian products. I didn't even really want to put a scope on my SKS but I might end up doing it just because this looks cool and is made in Canada.

Im assuming by the pic that stripper clips wont be able to be inserted while the rail is in place...?

When you flip it up with the scope on can you use stripper clips? And will the scope hold zero when the rail is flipped up?

It might arrive late but would be a great Father's Day gift!

I wouldn't add anything to my pristine 1952 Tula with matching numbers - It shoots out to 200yds with iron sights just fine and is a beautiful wooden piece of cold war history.

However, if I find a cheap Franken-SKS with a banged up stock, then I would definitely pick up this rail - Along with an ATI polymer stock, detachable mags and a red dot.

That would be a bad ass non-restricted tacticool rig for less than $500.

Very tempting!

Canada ammo, instead of giving us very vague answers how about a detailed post with mounting and loading details with pictures?
Yes, the supplier will be getting a video made at some point. Sorry, if my answer seems vague but the mount is very simple.

To the people stating that it would be hard to load- Have you ever used (or heard of) blind magazines? You can have a scope on them....

Being in Canada, I rarely use strippers anyway as loose rounds pile up on top of the mag, negating any "speed of loading"

Rail looks way better than those cheezy nc star ones I've seen.
