I can not speak for others however this is my thinking. I like the idea of taking a 10 round mag, and giving it the physical dimensions of a 30 round mag.
I have a Load bearing Vest that I spent good money on, with pouches geared towards the physical dimensions of a 30 round mags.
Im not sure where you are from, however in Canada, we are limited to 5 rounds in those mags. However recently there has been an opportunity to use 10 round mags, or double the capacity. It just happens to be in a much smaller format.
Now It is my desire to use the largest capacity mags allowed here in Canada, but have it in a similar physical profile as a 30 round mag. This way, one can use existing gear, as well as develop proper muscle memory and habits for a large profile mag, using the largest legal capacity mags allowable.
Why is that muscle memory so important?? Well, there are many educational shooting opportunities in the States, and they use full 30 round mags in those courses. So if one has proper muscle memory, one is not at a disadvantage taking those courses.
These are just my thoughts. You are free to disagree, but I do not appreciate you calling me crazy.
Further, your term “buba” would indicate shoddy workmanship. I have seen some pretty innovative ideas here, and I think some pretty good results as well. I am referring to the following so that we are clear.
