Explanation of the Remington 870 8.5” ruling and current production...SEE PICTURES!!!

If the ruling on these doesn't go the way of the Walther, then we should get DropZone to make a run of holsters for these.

I posted a custom holster maker who's been making 'em for longer barreled pistol grips in bc now for a while on the 'other' thread on this subject. Check 'em out - they look like they have some damn clever ideas.

Ponts, although I got a different one on mine I did mean to say that it is most likely the Tamer wll be on the current guns. UP did say it is the current production configuration so it would seem logical that it is coming with the Hogue.
Cheers

Thanks, I also made some inquiries and it looks like it will be coming with the tamer as well.

Any ideas on a good single point sling for under the arm carry or on your back guys?

I bet it's deafening enough already

The noise might be bad enough with the short barrel but porting helps muzzle rise and since many of these are going to be used as bear guns, keeping the muzzle on target would be the most important.

+1

Properly done porting doesn't have to increase noise for the shooter. I would think vang comp would be the way to go.

Also as mentioned earlier in the thread, there should be something to prevent the hand from slipping in front of the barrel.
Something more than just a strap.

Some sort of pistol or knob grip maybe? I've never owned a shotgun where 'slippage' might put your hand in front of the barrel :)

Porting might raise some issues about increased muzzle flash in low light conditions. A 14" gun is bad enough but a barrel half the length with porting would be a blinding experience if fired at night.

Do you put your hand infront of your pistols when you fire? :p Sorry, I'm a smart azz.

Well you know where you can stick yer pistol then dontcha :D :D

I've never had my hand slip off a pump forward, but i can see with this gun it might be a very bad thing.

Well on a full stocked shotgun slippage is far from likely however, on a short barreled pistol grip shotgun.....if you pump like a madman when you are under pressure.......you never know now do you;)

I've seen shields on short barrel guns that fit under the magazine cap to prevent the hand from going forward and in front of the muzzle.
