Both -- I'm the aberration in Todd's eye's - as while he has seen accuracy go up - he had not see time, that said I am generally a pretty slow shooter, as I hate dropping shots.
Todd and others will tell you - just use it as a test -- its not a drill.
It's the culmination of several drills.
I'm nowhere near coin state yet -- but I will probably get the Pin at the next KSTG Match (New Years Eve...)
I've been dry firing daily and I guess I've ingrained that habit. I was rattled by this and rushed to make up the second shot which went slightly high. I'm a little concerned about the training scar, and don't quite know how to fix it. I need to reset my pistol to dry fire.
Do you have other pistols? I dry fire with my double action 226, and I don't think it would affect negatively on my performance with my G17. If you want to stick with a Glock for grip and sights, you could look into an airsoft copy?
I thought of that, but I'm invested in the Glock and don't intend to stop using it. Perhaps a SIRT pistol would help? Or maybe I just need to shoot more and cut back on the dry fire, which is problematic with my hectic schedule right now.
Clobb : I always try to pause for a second or two after pressing the trigger instead of racking right away... Never had the impulse to rack the pistol while actually shooting.
What are some of you guys advocating for sweeping away a open front concealment garment?
