I think the RCMP/police and the government they are serving are just loosing credibility

ot but is there any Cdn source for the original steel 30 rnd. magazines for the PPS 50? Geo, I do not know if epoxy is any good for polypropylene. Any time I ever tried bonding something to polypropylene with epoxy it failed very quickly. The shear strength was very low. Nice rifle, & I love the 1907 sling. 1907 slings & similar are classy imo.

I'm thinking of making some steel pins from 1" finishing nails, cut them maybe 4mm long then melt them into the block and the mag where the block will mount. Then clean with acetone and cement with either epoxy or JB Weld with a 24 hour clamp.

1907 slings are old school AND functional.

The BX25 was advertised and designed to work in both the Charger and the 10/22, so that is a legal no go from the start..

However, the BC mags were originally designed for the 10/22 rifle, and the patent for them dates back to 1977 (granted in 1978), 30 years prior to when the Ruger Charger pistol was first introduced to the public (2007).

I had a nylon Uncle Mike's version which I had on an old .22. Unfortunately I sold it but I can't think of a more practical sling that will help with shooting than the 1907 design. The only thing is imo at least you require a stock with a certain degree of rigidity. This again imo rules out shaved down bubba stocks like you continually see on bubba m1917 rifles and P14 based sporters but I could be mistaken.

My understanding is only BC ever received any information about what to do about them. I was in SK when this was announced and we never heard a peep. Even the BC memo said unless someone's using it in conjunction with an actual crime not to charge for it.

Plus it'll never hold up in court. So it's a worthless "interpretation" of the law.

Thanks Jon.

It is ridiculous and erodes the trust that law abiding, tax paying gun owners used to have in certain departments of the RCMP.

Their upper echelons have become political and that is not acceptable in a democratic country.
