I agree, I know Ukrainian company that has its plates manufactured in China, but they up to NIJ levels, periodically tested etc. It's not like everything Chinese is crap. It's more like there is a ####load of chinese crap around and some business are making $ in this case on people lives.

We were getting our helmets from Ukraine.
We have looked as some other brands but they waither wonr export or they won't allow any sale no none Govement.
As for us making it. Not enough of a market this point ans we are staying focused on the plates

Couldn't have said it better. The Chinese are definitely capable of making good body armour at a very competitive price. In fact the problem is the Chinese can make anything to your price point. So if someone is paying $9.99 for wish body armour, I don't know what else you can expect.

Good plates fail on a regular bases.
He's coming had to do a massive recall in thr last while do to failure.. it happens
It's jist simply not worth the risk by buying 100 Chinese plates.
These is a reason that NIJ deviated all Chinese imported rebranded plates in 2020.
The failure rail was so high and there is no recourse with the manufacturer.
What if anything happened to the store in Van that got caught selling rebranded plates?

It was medical TQ. They they sold to an agency.
They had to replace them with real ones .

The low priced Chinese plates are more of a novelty. I have bought some in the past and used them as targets. They actually stopped everything they were supposed to but there is always the chance of shoddy quality or them being fake.

I think that youÂ’re not appreciating that it isnÂ’t about the money for any user here. Everyone is very strongly encouraged to self censor ANY hint of negative criticism of dealers. I know that some chafe at that. They are supposed to be legit wnteties sellinglwgit merchandise. Personally, I think your post was long overdue and, even people in a civilian capacity need their gear to be legit and functional.

It's easy to see it isn't a hoax, when there are hours upon hours of combat footage coming out daily from the country.
While I don't support either group both Russia or Ukraine. It's horrible to see fake medical supplies, and plates coming from china and being sold by Canadians to war zones as legit equipment.

Playing devils advocate... just because pawns are dying doesn't mean it isn't a hoax.
People don't seem to get this. The Chinese are capable of excellent manufacturing, but they have perfected manufacturing to a price point. You get what you pay for. As a machinist for the last 18 years, I've seen quality parts come from China, and I've seen hot garbage come from China. In all cases, the parts were made to reflect the prices paid for them. There were no surprises.
Reputable companies exist in China that will provide material test reports (MTRs) for metals used, traceability, etc etc. They're just expensive, and not necessarily in-line with what many people expect to pay for "Made In China" parts.
May I suggest that if we can't name the alleged party, may be we can start naming the ones that are not conducting this type of unethical practice?
Cause right now this leaves ppl second guessing so it's almost like a blanket allegation against all other businesses out there. Let's weed out the unethical ones by naming the reputable and honest ones.
