The FAL hidder is not a perfect fit, I thought it would be but after yesterdays shooting it has come a little bit loose. I think that I may end yup just treading the barrel for an AR type hider and be done with it. I do like the FAL hider, maybe I need to try a few to see if there is some variation in them and find one that fits tighter.
^^^Hmmm. Were you still getting those awesome 1.5"-ish groups? Did they deteriorate when your hider became loose?
I was thinking of taking off my factory hider and shooting it just with the plain barrel, and saw that you already did it-- still with relatively large groups. I'm frequently getting 2 shots within 1/2 to 1", with the 3rd shot going 2.5 to 3" away (it doesn't matter what order the rounds are shot in regards to the flyer). Other times, I get decent 2 moa trianglar groups (with ball ammo). My reloads have made no difference in size.

Yes, when the FAL hider started to loosen up the group size opened up again. Also my gas block tightening loosened up at the same time. I'm convinced these will shoot well but the block and hider need to be tight to prevent odd harmonics or something along those lines.
