Famae SG 540-1 - An Ongoing Review

The Manurhin were all off caliber for civvy sales as said.

I think INDEP in Portugal only made the SG543, not sure about the SG540.
INDEP only made them for their armed forces though.

Anyone else pick up any Manurhin push button, quick release optic bases?
They made them for both the 540 and the 542, the 540 model fits the Swiss Arms just you need a spacer.
I know I picked up enough for my 540s, 542 and even my Swiss Arms.
Made specifically for the NATO base like the surplus ZF 4x24 from Hesnoldt, Karl Kapps and S&B.

The Manurhin's were specifically manufactured in semi-auto only in .222 and .243.

Would love to see and try out some of those alloy magazines in my 540.

If anyone is wondering I have about 6000 rounds through mine and it's been a brilliant weapon, my go-to. I'll never sell it unfortunately.

The phosphate finish certainly gives it that vintage battle rifle feel, but it is a better, thinner finish over the Chilean thick epoxy, powder coat or whatever those guns are coated (dipped?) in. imho
