CCI Standard Velocity may be the best American made ammunition.
For higher velocity with a lead bullet, Blazer is fine.
Day to day consistency varies and according to the shooting show video, CCI produces 4,000,000 rounds per day.
The lot numbers on some containers means nothing to the buyer and is only significant to CCI.
CCI claims their Green Tag was tested and found superior but the level of testing is unknown and the value is highly suspect.
CCI made a line called Select and it proved better in some rifles.
Consistency costs money and the European production and testing is often worth the price.
ELEY's testing applies to their rifles and it is still a bit of luck to test various lots of TENEX, MATCH and TEAM and lock onto one that produces results. Just because their four test rifles did not like a particular lot does not mean you won't get lucky.
Those Eley subscribers have often found a lot of TEAM or MATCH that was superior in their rifle versus TENEX.
Lapua X-ACT did not have success amongst five shooters at a match which probably explains why it was offered as a prize.
Of the rifles I use in competition, some respond differently to a specific velocity. Unfortunately when the right lot is found it is no longer available.
