Nice, but how many of us are going to use the 'auto' setting? Kind of a tease. :p

Lose the CANADIANGUNNUTZ on the left, the CGN in the serial is enough.

If there's lettering on the right side, it should mimic the actual LE/MIL markings and read;
RESTRICTED FOR CANADIAN
GUN NUT USE ONLY

Otherwise, I'd buy one. Love the maple leaf as well... cheers

I'd like to buy one of these but wouldn't be willing to spend a lot of dough on a gun that doesn't reflect my tastes. That includes the zombie stuff, the bar code or the HK labels. Zombie fads come and go; bar codes - I don't get it; and this isn't an HK. I'm a proud Canadian and love the maple leaf. I like the idea of tastefully incorporating CGN somewhere on the gun.

Same here, I am not a Eurogun worshiper and don't want a zombie killer, HK wannabe lower. I do like the idea of a maple leaf though.

No manufacturer has stepped up as yet or been picked.. people wanted to nail down a design before going to a manufacturer and a rough quantity since the design and the quantity would be pricing and eligibility factors.
Part of the problem is finding a manufacturer that will do custom work and then another is what are the minimum run requirements and then what is the cost gonna be... On top of that is the capabilities of the manufacturer and their lead time...

Most people don't want Dlask to do them becuase their quality has been reported as spotty...

There are a couple people looking for manufacturers now and some that will be looking/talking at the SHOT show next month... once that is nailed down they can figure out price and start working up the order... I would guess they would look for money in March and look for delivery in July/August..

Depending on how long permits take and manufacturers lead time...

My guess and this is only a guess, is that a stripped lower is gonna come in at about $325 if they are gonna do the coloring maybe $360.. If one of the site sponsors gets involved could work out 30-50 less... but with a run of 50; the setup cost , the permit costs and the import costs and then all the shipping is not gonna be cheap... Yeah I know that right now the poll says there are over a hundred interested but when GT went to do mugs there where 100+ interested but when it came to doing it he had less then 30 step up... Hats go the same way... figure about 35% of those that say they are interested can or will come up with the dough when the project gets to the money stage... Time will tell...

I'm gonna take off my sooth sayer hat now and go to work... But I predict Snow!
PS it's Friday don't forget to wear red.. For those that serve

the first run CGN Dlask lower cost about $100 less then what bear.23 is talking about. the only problem I see is getting a quality blank frame. because most makers have there own logo on the frame which holds the location of where we want to put ours on.. So finding a blank frame is hard.

don't know why my name is bolded but I said it was a guess... Canadian built would be cheaper probably by over $100 but that's assuming you can find somebody in Canada that makes a decent product and I believe Dlask has already been ruled out...

There's a pic of a custom dlask lower on the other thread. Don't know if the pic was badly taken, but the finish sucks... the black seems glossy and too "dark" compared to other black lower pics I saw. I do hope this next project won't look like that one.

the pic was taken high back when I had a 1.3meg camera. The gloss finish might be do to the heavy oil on the frame but Yes I did find the it to be darker then most AR frames. The logo pic could have been taken better as it was blown up about 20% see below..
