Finally, i'm almost done with this project...
-1955/56 Tula all match #
-Timbersmith Monte-Carlo stock with custom slot for the bayonet
-Techsight TS200
-Tapco front post
-Bolt buffer from Techsight
-5 rounds Promag mag
-5/20 rounds Tapco mag
-Wolf spring kit ( 2 )
-Polished upper bolt + bayonet
-Tapco extended mag release

Now I need to sight this thing and shoot different kind of ammo.
The middle sight is still there, I will try to align the 3 sights...

Techsights is a gr8 upgrate but I was impress by how much the wolf spring kit reduce the trigger pull weight... I dry fired it with snaps-caps...

Enjoy and let me know what you think !!!

Nice. Where did you get the stock? ...and the 5 rd mag? The wife is away on an Army course and I'd love to suprize her by fixing up her Tula

Did the mag need to be modified to work with the standard sks?

Sometimes the Tapco mag is a tight fit in a factory stock.
If its too tight, all you need is a file and/or sandpaper to remove just a little bit of wood in your stock.
Takes about 5-10 minutes of your time.

After that, you just need to remember to open the bolt to insert or remove the mag.

I did not fired the 5 rounds Promag mag yet.
I would say the fit is very similar to the Tapco mag in my Timber stock.

Very nice, you did exactly the same mods I was considering for my tula last year. The longer/better sight picture and a North American length stock would make this a nice 100 yd whitetail set up.
