I think I will double the amount of beef I eat. Love that stuff.
The ABP are feeling the heat. Keep the burners on, gents, and start eating anything else but beef. That letter they posted sounds like they're trying to direct blame to everyone else but themselves, but they are responsible for any actions taken by any of their sub committiees conected to the ABP. I'm sure the ABP knows full well what all their sub committiees are doing, and nothing goes forward without first getting their aproval of the ABP.
Also, when I called the ABP they said "YES. THEY ARE THE ONES PUSHING THIS FORWARD" Now they are trying to backpeddle from the responsiblity of the s**t storm and boycott that has begun.
KEEP THE HEAT ON THEM. Seems like they have no intentions of stopping the proposal.
Nice rant. I will remind my two relatives how rich they are and spoiled with government handouts. Painting all farmers with a broad brush eh....and you get upset when someone brands all gun owners the same....particularly for the action of some poachers...
Please read the letter from the ABP posted by SCAR below....they are concerned about truck hunters and are putting the proposal forward for discussion...
Farming is a business not a right. Can't cut it sell and move on just like any other businessman. Do you get all your GST back every year? Farmers and Natives do, I don't. Do you get a tax break on your fuel? Farmers and Natives do, I don't.
I don't like road hunters either. But to let some businessmen TELL the government to add more restrictions to ALL hunters is total crap. I'm already gathering some non-steak recipes for the BBQ for this summer. I think some of those ABP retards contracted bovine spongiform encephalopathy from eating their own BSE tainted cattle. Screw'em.
Well clearly you have your biases. As I said, I will remind my spoiled and rich family members who are farmers how good they have it. Glad you have it all figured out with emotion to boot.
The point is that this is but one part of a consultive process with stakeholders who I will remind you represent a significant number of hunters in the province via their membership. We have a consultive process for regulatory change....I don't know many provinces that have something similar. So they have a suggestion to deal with a PROBLEM they are experienced. The cool heads in the stakeholders process will look at the problem and see if there are reasonable solutions. It is a two year process and is examined based on the problem, not just the proposed suggestion. You #####ing about how good the farmers have it, is not going to resolve the problem at hand is it? We can all vent on issues that are near and dear to our heart however, lets understand the question and the potential answer before we get too excited. Join one of the many stakeholder organizations and participate in the process. At least in our province, hunters get an opportunity to reflect on the changes, unlike other provinces that wake up with new regs and policy without consultation...
Once again. Do you have a suggestion?
Yes, I believe I have mentioned it a couple of times in my posts. Increased enforcement...
What are your suggestions?
I'd suggest fixing this problem is akin to peeing up a rope. But I would also suggest this problem is less of a problem than it was 15 years ago and much of it is self inflicted.
You speak in riddles....
The problem is the land owners fault? Is that what your suggesting? I am not following...

I'm saying they are good at calling the kettle black. How's that for a riddle?
I guess you got it figured. For me, I can't lump all the farmers into one pile so easily as you. Makes it easy for us to simplify the issue and focus our concerns but I think the problem is a little more complicated than that. I think there is an issue with truck hunting, I have observed it first hand and cleaned up after it first hand. I however don't think new legislation is the solution. New enforcement efforts I think might help resolve the concerns....
