Wow.. Some people wonder why first Nation people are hated/disliked. These type of sayings are very ignorant.
That's like me assuming because of your status your probly on welfare, ####ty house, 10 kids you can't afford, and more then likely hammered right now.

White people havn't "lost their way" same as how First Nation people arn't all fall downs. I have many friends that are indeed First Nations and have been invited many times to the Reserve. Most of them are the upmost polite, respectful, insightful, dignet people you could ever meet.

Perhaps if we loose the stupid terms for eachother, we could build something between everyone.
As for the low life poacher, I hope they nail him to the wall.

You clearly don't understand what was is written or you would not answer with verbal diahrea, what was written has nothing to do with one's financial state , The term (lost their way ) is a term used by Natives for other Natives who has lost their way off the red path , And the term Apple Indian fits this situation , The Native in question thinks he is within his rights to kill sacred bird thus he has clearly lost his way and so he is doing it for money along 15 others who have been charged , lets be silly for a moment and assume the 15 that were charged are whiteman would all that killing be for GREED , MONEY
so the one lone Native would be deemed Apple Indian red on the outside cause he is Native ,white on the inside cause of the GREED, where in all that do you get 10 kids,welfare,plastered, ????? let me tell you a story oh lost one 4 days ago on a big Reserve 6 hours from my home A mother of 5 kids and pregnant for twins took her own life , This Native lady lost her 5 kids ,social service's swooped in on the Reserve and took them and her answer to this was they are not getting the other two, so you see there poor Natives as well. maybe a better understanding of what is written would avoid heated battle.

For now, all 15 guys, whether they are Indians, Lesbians, Chinese or White are idiots,.. let's just hope the judge doesn't become idiot number 16.

Here. Here. There are low-lifes amonst us all. Let's not deface a whole race of people because of the actions of a few.

I hope this bugger's elders ties him to a tree and lets the buzzards pick at him.

Besides their is a bigger issue at hand here. As a life time member of the BC wild life federation this makes me sick. To see these great beautiful birds in all their glory is truly an awesome sight to behold. I'm really hoping the judge gives the max to these low life poachers.

Totally agree with you, just another poucher, but make an example of him 50 birds come on. I think the Aboriginal groups should do their part also, obviously this guy has no respect for their values either.

Obviously there is more than one Aboriginal being charged.

All of the offenders that are convicted should be punished,equally,regardless of their race.

Friends and countrypersons

As I read through the posts on this rather amazing thread first I was kind of PO'd at the extreme attitudes and all but then I kind of got the impression we mostly agree. Yes, we're all in the same boat with our mostly unintentional pressure on the natural world and when a social misfit makes a grossly untenable act like dealing in Eagle parts we all freak and rightly so.

But what's good out of this is the discussions.

When we call each other sub-hockey sticks and buffoons we're stirring the pot and that keeps the students awake. I'm an old guy but readily consider myself still a student (on a good day).

So bring it on but remember some of us resemble those remarks...

NOT ANOTHER ONE , where do they come from ,it's funny what people will say from the safety of there computer that they would not say face to face
i will not stoop to your level and call you a low life cause it's clear to me we have another one here with a grade 3 education ,you don't have to suffer my friend you can always go back and finish school , of course you need a bigger desk then the other grade three's .
 
It is plain and simple the guy is a poacher. He had them stashed at someone elses place. How do you think he can afford to go and keep fighting the case.. It is from all the money he has made TRADING FOR CASH all the feathers , claws and beaks.
We had a situation near me about 5 years ago where someone would go out spotlighting takeing about 5 bucks a night. He would cut the head off and leave the rest of the carcase or haul it to the dump! He would not even give the meat to the elders in the community. He frequently tried to sell it for money, He would sell the horns for money. But the person he was selling to finally got busted. Very few people in his first nations community had any use for him. He finally got caught when he own brothers ratted him out on one of his nights of hunting.

Hats off to the brother that ratted him out , nice to see there was some good in that gene pool
