Hey guys, despite what I told the wife I've got a new rifle coming to me and I'm hung up on what kind of flash hider it will sport.
I've settled on a flash hider or MAYBE a combo device, but definitely not a comp or a brake.
It will be residing on a 14.5" barrel with a middy gas system.
Would prefer something that I could potentially pin and weld to bring it down south with me if you have any other suggestions.
As a note, the surefires ability to host the Warden is entirely irrelevant to this as the device mounted on the SF3P or Warcomp seems entirely counter productive.
I know all 4 options aren't exactly readily available but the rifle is coming with an AAC flash hider already so I can afford to wait to find the best option.
I'm mainly looking for first hand experiences as I've already scoured the inter webs for reviews and information on the four but unfortunately there really isn't too much.
So far my options are these:
Surefire SF3P
Pros: top notch quality, scored great in the FH shoot out, simple no BS design
Cons: rings like most pronged flash hiders
Surefire Warcomp
Pros: top notch quality, scored well (less than the SFP3 and 249F) on the FH shoot out, ports allow compensation when shooting right handed.
Cons: rings like most, not very adaptable when shooting off hand/urban prone or other relatable situations
B.E. Meyers 249 F
Pros: best flash hiding capability out of all listed, 4 prong "cool factor"
Cons: rings like a sum b!tch, its a unicorn
Silencerco Trifecta
Pros: eliminates typical ringing effect, most affordable on this list
Cons: mis matched prongs looks somewhat goofy
Any other options are welcome, but I like to try different things so I don't want ones I already have, namely the AAC blackout, lantac dragon, SF MB556 & precision armament afab.
Again, opinions are welcome but I'd really like to see what those who've had first hand experience with these have to say.
