FN is bringing a new High Power!

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because FN stopped making it a few years ago, leaving a gap in the market and it took other companies a while to get set up to produce it.
 
If you're going to try for the "cool gun" market, it would help if they actually looked like Hi-Powers.

If you showed the gun to me with no context, I would have guessed Smith and Wesson was trying to bring back the 5906. Zero interest.
 
If they made it with the shorter handle of the original and also kept the weight down I might consider it. As it is, the longer handle and more square slide all adds metal and weight.

I don't like PVD, I have no experience with it but keep hearing it's not all that durable. Anyone want to weigh in?

I'm hoping for a stainless version of this, or the SA 35 to have target sights and some grip/strap checkering. Canuck/Tisas/Girsan/Bob's Garage isn't snooty enough for me to consider :)
