FN SCAR-16s: RIP Oct 2012

Well there goes my dream for a scar, I better try to scoop up an FS2000 before they get reclassified as a super l337 death sniper.

Well not that it matters to any decision now but I wonder if this was based off of a converted auto or the full auto military SCAR??

I did see the thread that chas2wnb made on his importation and findings and where Questar weighed in, but was it clear if it was a true military full auto or a CA?

Again not that it matters but pure curiousity I guess...

I believe they were the FA versions.

Could everyone please stop comparing the SCAR to other rifles saying "if they let us have this why can't we have that?"

Do you know what you are doing? You are throwing all the others under the bus hoping some SH*T for brains in the classifications department realizes he is stupid. What will be more likely to happen is that person will add those rifles you just pointed at to a list to be looked at again and we may lose more rifles to this stupidity.

You are all right of course and the comparisons are justified but expecting someone in goverment to realize they made a mistake and that the way they do things is wrong and then go back and undo their error is not going to happen.

The classifications and firearms laws in Canada are nothing short of retarded. There is no comon sense at all and no consistancy either. We are forced to accept their decisions and work with and around them to the best of our ability (if we can interpret the rules without needing a lawyer to explain them to us).

Don't worry though, the world ends in a couple more months then we can do whatever we want with our rifles and pistols;)

Sooooo . . . .

What's the next cool gun we set all our hopes on?

I am inclined to agree with this statement..

+1 Well said.

So somehow I missed this thread, is everything here still accurate? 16S and 17S are prohibs?

Edit: Might have something to do with 4 70+hour work weeks in a row in sept/october...

Unless you are making enough to retire at 38, you might want to consider the trade off of work time vs. your life.
Just sayin'.......

I'm late to the party, but I just watched MAC's video series comparing the SCAR and the ACR.

It looks like the SCAR is a bit more accurate and a full pound lighter. All a moot point now I guess.

I'm thinking that, with how 'full retard' the Firearm Centre is: We just have to wait for Norinco to start making SCAR-16s/-17s ripoffs, and they'll be unrestricted, in Canada, in no-time!
