For Immediate Release! CSAAA- Shotgun ban!!

This is horrible fear mongering and paints all of us firearms owners poorly. If this is how they plan on fighting the OIC I wish all those affected good luck. Hopefully you get a good market value for your now prohibited firearms...
The measurement should NOT be taken out front. A shotgun’s gauge is measured in the chamber. The fact the CSSA is focusing on this truly boggles my mind.

Even if they made a mistake... simple solution... they’ll issue a statement saying this was never the intentions and ask everyone to carry on.

They need to fight this in court using whatsoever is available to fight the OIC... and if they can’t or choose not to then you know the answer...

Welcome to the fight, Fudds. Not so funny anymore is it? Didn't think it would ever happen to you... Well surprise.
Again, welcome to the fight, you're one of us now. One of us..one of us...one of us. LOL

I think the point is that their lawyer has advised them that by selling these firearms they may be breaking the law as it is written. They sell a 12g go to court if the judge throws it out because that is not the intent. Fine but they still have to go to court.

Wonder what some of the big box stores like C.. and B..P.. think about this embarrassing shotgun oversight. What with having a large inventory of them, and all. Maybe we can reach out to them on social media and ask.

Yep still not buying it. They made so many little clerical errors in that prohibited list. This is just another error.

dosent matter if you buy it or not this is the LAW as it stands that cannot just say its a mistake they would have to change the LAW

By law, barrel and bore dimensions are taken without removable bore devices such as flash hiders and choke tubes. So, just as a muzzle brake doesn't count towards your overall barrel length, a choke tube doesn't determine your bore diameter. Since a shotgun can be fired with the choke tube removed, for many shotguns "the largest diameter of the tube in which the projectile travels" is in excess of 20mm.

Can any one provide to me where exactly the law says this?

Watched Bill Blair respond to some questions tonight, We are screwed if that guy remains in office. The amount of arrogance and ignorance displayed tonight was disgusting.

10ga & 12ga shotguns with their screw in choke tubes removed, exceed 20mm.

Screwing in a choke tube to make the bore diameter less than 20mm, is like attaching a flash hider and claiming it increases the barrel length.

Both are illegal.

Regarding the 20mm, no, I don't think so.

The entire bore of a barrel cannot be determined based on 1% of its make up.

99% of a barrel consists of the bore and chamber.
1% of a barrel is the threading for the choke.

Gaslighting nonsense designed to put all gun owners in a poor light. If we want to appear credible and responsible we can’t keep perpetrating nonsense designed to drag all gun owners down into the gutter. Just remember you might just get what you are asking for.

This will impact my ability to feed my family. I only have one shotgun and won't be able to use it due to the ban. I am not indigenous so no loophole for me.

I am with you on this. Posts like these are done in extremely poor taste...
I am sure that if they had contacted the government authorities that prescribed this OIC they would have gotten this answer without making the community appear like we are all bloodthirsty and our government is coming after us...
